A MANTEL THROUGH THE YEAR

If you visit my blog regularly, you know that the decor on our fireplace mantel changes frequently.

Christmas Mantel 6

I'm still trying to get the Christmas decor put away, so today, I'm sharing all of our 2014 mantels.

Thanksgiving Mantel 7

To read the full post about any of these mantels, just click on that picture title.
Halloween

Hopefully, it won't be long before the New Year's decor is gone, and there is something new on the mantel to share with you.

Fall Mantel
Fall

This holiday season has proven to me that I'm not moving as fast as I used to move.

BABY SHOWER

For many years, I put away the Christmas decor before January 1st!

Beach Mantel

At the rate I'm moving this year, I hope to have it put away by Valentine's Day!

4th of July Decor

Is Christmas decor put away at your house?
Spring Mantel 1

I really don't want you to answer that question, unless...

Easter Mantel

you are still decorated for Christmas.
Mantel Decor-Bargain Decorating with Laurie

I'm feeling old slow enough without reading a bunch of comments telling me that you had your Christmas decor put away the day after Christmas.
Vintage Valentine Decor

I thought I was going to have plenty of time to get it all put away, because I was retiring on January 1st.
Winter Mantel Decor

It appears that, although I'm retiring, I'm not retired yet.  I'm having to work next week to finish up some things.

Our youngest granddaughter, Bradleigh, is helping me wish you a wonderful 2015.

Okay, that was the entire year of mantels.  Do you change your mantel often?  Go ahead, you can answer that question.  I can handle any answer to that question.

Thank you so much for your visit to BDwL.  laurie

I'm moving slow too and if it weren't for help from Dan I don't know where I'd be with holiday decorating. I do change my mantel around but right now it's empty. Enjoy your new retirement! Your granddaughter is a doll!

Christmas is put away, except the bare tree is sitting in the living room, and I am resisting plugging in the lights at night. The crib will be put away today, after Epiphany yesterday. I need to figure out how to decorate the bare mantle for the rest of winter!

Bradleigh is beautiful. I love her rosy red cheeks.
I love all your mantle décor. You always come up with the neatest ideas for it.

Laurie, that little Bradleigh is adorable. Love her name too! I'm one who changes out the mantel, but not as often as you do. I tend to keep it simple too. This Christmas, I basically only added a Santa and the scale filled with apples. For winter, just removed the Santa and left the scale. Easy peasy around here. Ha!
Congratulations on retirement. You are going to love it!

Laurie your mantels are all truly beautiful and don't stress out about when others put there decors away. I am one of those who did but only because I was alone for Christmas and it was so depressing. your fireplace is lovely such a warm color wish I even had a fireplace.Susie

Bradleigh is simply adorable and such a little beauty too. I like to change out the mantel with the seasons and for holidays but I don't always get to it. I did get the Christmas off of the mantel this week but I left my woodsy rustic winter decor and the woodland critters for a couple more weeks. I am working on a Valentine;s Day design for the end of the month. Speaking of "V" Day, are we going to Par-Tay this year? I really enjoyed joining in on all of the fun last year.... Candy

Such cute mantels! Your definitely a girl after my own heart- a more is more kind of girl! I have a huge mantel and It is always filled end to end, tho sometimes it is a bit more layered (ahem cluttered) and that's the way I REALLY like it! Thanks for sharing!
