ST PATRICK’S DAY MANTEL

St. Patrick's Decor-Bargain Decorating with Laurie
Our mantel is celebrating the next holiday.  I’m not Irish, but I do love a celebration, so St. Patrick’s Day is next up on my celebration calendar.

I hung a St. Patrick’s placemat behind this planter, and a bridge tally that was my mother’s on the front.

I found this leprechaun decanter at another estate sale.  I think he looks sort of mischievous.

This jar was in a junk store (and I do mean Junk – with a capital “J”).  “The beginning of the Wearin’ O’ The Green” verse is printed on the front, and finished on the back.

The top hat toothpick holder belonged to my Mother.

This Irish “smoker” came from Tuesday Morning several years ago.
St Patrick's Decor
A shamrock ornament and a St. Patrick’s pin (both from estate sales) hang from the lamps.
St Patrick's Decor
My Uncle worked in a pottery factory in Camden, Arkansas (Camark Pottery).  Every time we visited, we came home with at least one piece of pottery.  I am using two green Camark Pottery planters that belonged to my Mother.
St Patrick's Decor
I cut out the Irish lad and lass several years ago, and I added some shamrock “clings” to my lanterns.

I hope the shamrock garland will bring us the luck o’ the Irish.

On March 12th, Cuisine Kathleen will be having her annual Blog Crawl.  You don’t want to miss this one, so start looking around for some green.
Thanks so much for reading my blog.  laurie

Look at you already for St. Paddy's Day. I still need to pack up the valentine things here. ;-)

Looking good! I've got the tiniest bit of Irish in me which I only found out about a few years ago. I've always enjoyed the spirit of it and I'm working on my ideas for a tablescape. You have some cute details on the mantel. I like that glass Irish hat and the cut out you created a while back of the Irish lass! I'm pretty sure the luck of O' the Irish will be with you!

Love it Laurie. You have some really special treasures for the wearing of the green. You have inspired me with all your great ideas. I need to bring out my green too. Being half Irish, it is a special day for me.
Have a great week. Hope your back is better.

I'm not Irish either Laurie... but oh how I love that corned beef dinner. Yum!

I hope your St. Paddy's Day is yummy.

Hugs to you...

The mantle looks lovely in it's shades of green. The flower pots and the lanterns look especially good. I may be a bit of the Irish, but hubby is half Irish. He loves to see the house decorated for St Pat's Day.

These are all nice ideas for St Paddy's Day. I wasn't expecting for more activities as this. I was actually just browsing for St Patrick's day recipes and craft projects to consider =) Please allow me to pin them on my board. Thank you so much!
