GETTING READY FOR THE GATHERING

chlkbrd
Some of you know that we host 30 family members in our home for Thanksgiving, so I’ve been doing a lot of preparin’ for the gatherin’, and I’m sharing some of my preparations on this post.
Table for 10 in the family room.

I love using these Fall platters as chargers/placemats.  Some of you may recall that I got them at an auction last year for $6.00 each.  When I told the auctioneer I wanted all six of them, everybody acted like I was crazy and wanted to know what I was going to do with six platters.  I hope they read my blog, because I know they will be so sorry they didn’t buy the platters.

After scrolling through this very slowly, I have chosen my seat. It's in front of the fireplace.

What? I forgot to tell you I was coming? Better make the one in front of the bookshelves seat four so you can make room.

It all looks wonderful! I would love to be a guest in your home, your tables look so welcoming! I know you all will have a wonderful time. And when it comes to cleaning up, I think it would be good to have a sling "handy" for your hand, and declare it is rest time for you!

I used the pan too! I used a new pumpkin recipe, have no idea how it will taste! The worst thing that can happen is I don't get assigned dessert next year! :)
Yours came out great!

Blessings to you dear friend, enjoy that wonderful family, they are so blessed to have you!

Laurie! Oh my, everything looks wonderful! I am sure that your whole family is going to love what you did for them, going all out like that. But I'm sure they know you will make everything gorgeous and are grateful for you already! I hope you and yours have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
Best,
Gloria
