CHRISTMAS ON THE MANTEL

Thank you for visiting me even though you'd probably forgotten about BDwL. I decide to stop blogging. Then I miss all of you, so I create a new post.

As you can see, I'm a hardcore traditionalist. We use every ornament we've ever had (and some that were my mother's) on the trees.

I love thinking about the origin of each ornament as it goes on the tree.

I also stick with tradition on the mantel. Our Fontanini nativity set has spent many Christmases on our mantel,

And our Italian angels hang from the lamps each year.

So, if you've visited me at Christmastime in the past, you may think I'm sharing images taken in previous years,

The mantel never ends up looking exactly the same. This year, I professed that I was simplifying the mantel decor. I don't think any of my family noticed the difference.

I do plan to share more of our Christmas decor in the next few days, but since I haven't been very reliable about blogging, I'll go ahead and wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thank you again for visiting me.
