GHOSTS, WITCHES, AND NEVERMORE

This Halloween vignette is in our family room.

This witch has trained her pig to pull her cart. Look how frightened that little boy became when he saw her pass by.

Jack-o-lanterns and acorns decorate a log on the china hutch.

In our kitchen, the witches have taken over. Last week, when Witch Gertie hosted her Halloween party in the study, we couldn't get these guests to leave our kitchen.

At least one of them is making herself useful by sweeping the kitchen.

They cackled the whole time they were decorating this black tree.

Several of them hang out in the range alcove.

Nobody dares criticize my cooking with this sign hanging over the range.

They even decorated our china cabinet-mostly with pictures of themselves. (You know how vain witches can be.)

Their pictures are hanging all over the kitchen.

Ghosts have taken up residence in the game room.

Spooky!

Trick-or-treaters seem to like the sun room.

These vintage trick or treaters are using a jack-o-lantern for their airplane.

Edgar Allan Poe has set up his office on top of the piano in the sun room.

There's a Scottish Proverb on his desk. From gholies and ghosties, and long-leggedy beasties, and things that go bump in the night, Good Lord, deliver us.

I'm glad to have you stop in for a visit today. Wishing you a not-too-spooky Halloween!
