TABLESCAPE FOR SPRING

SPRING TABLESCAPE

As you can see, I have birds on the brain lately.  Does that make me a bird brain?  I hope not.

SPRING TABLESCAPE 1

In my previous post, I shared some of my Spring decor with a bird theme.  In that post, I showed you one of these plates that I am using for a salad plate on this table (Prima Donna).

Each plate depicts a different bird.

I used our wedding china (Lenox Moonspun) for the dinner plates.  I like to mix things up by using delicate with rustic, like this rustic charger with the delicate floral plate.

I can never remember the name of this stemware pattern that I'm using for water glasses.  I purchased them at an antique store years ago.  For wine, I'm using our Lenox Moonspun stems.  I probably could have reversed the use of these two stems, but I needed a lot of wine!

More of my rustic with delicate.  I used lace-bordered napkins, covered by a napkin with a needlework flower in the corner (both from estate sales).  They are secured with a rustic, twig napkin holder.

SPRING TABLESCAPE 7

These little bowls are probably meant to be used as a holder for things on a dresser top.  They were practically giving these away at a going out of business sale (I think they were $1 each!), so I bought enough to use for salt cellars (Lenox).

SPRING TABLESCAPE 6

For the centerpiece, I used a basket tray, which holds my painted glass bird, surrounded by cuttings from my Lilac bush. I'm so happy to have some blooms in the yard!
SPRING TABLESCAPE 8

I'm serving salad dressing from vintage cruets.

Thanks so much for visiting the bird brain today!

Lovely Spring tablescape Laurie. I like the rustic rattan chargers with the lovely Lenox Moonspun china. The combination is charming. I had not seen this sweet bird pattern that is on the salad plates until today, the brown stripe in the trim mimics the rustic flair of the rattan charger very nicely. Have a lovely Spring Day!

If you are a bird brain I'm right there with you as I like anything having to do with a bird theme. Your plates are wonderful as is the mix of color on your table. Good work!

Beautiful table setting for spring Laurie. I love the mix of elegant and rustic. Anything with a bird theme gets my attention.
Your centerpiece is made extra special by the flowers from your garden. I bet the lilac scent is heavenly.
Thank you for sharing.
Have a wonderful evening.
Hugs, CM

p.s. you asked if I painted the scroll design on my dining room chairs. No I did not paint them. They came that way.
Thanks for all the visits and comments. XO

So very lovely! I especially love the well balanced mix of the rustic with the formal. I can see that you put a lot of time into the planning and execution of this lovely tablescape. This would make such a nice ladies' luncheon, but I don't know that I would want to serve poultry!
