In our sunroom, Spring, birds have landed on the buffet and on the shelf over it. You may recall these plates in previous tablescapes (Hand Painted, France). Years ago, after crushing on these plates for almost a year, I requested that may family gift me with these plates for various holidays. I still love them.
A sweet little pitcher (a long ago gift) and my chubby Bluebird salt and pepper shakers (from an estate sale) are in front of the "tool box" my husband made for me.
An A-frame birdhouse is home to several birds.
Please excuse the reflection in the glass. I bought this little bird sketch at a craft sale long ago.
My friend, Brandee, gifted me with this pretty glass bird.
The egg cup was a purchase in Mexico about 40 years ago, and the bird coasters are from the estate of a friend's mother.
More of the French plates show up on the shelf, along with a vintage flower container that I purchased from a flea market.
The painted eggs on little nests were left over from party favors I gave at a dinner I hosted.
The Bird of Paradise plate was a flea market purchase and is marked, "American Atelier, Paradise". The plate on the right was a One Kings Lane purchase a few years ago (Prima Donna).
I can't leave needlework at an estate sale. I think about the work that went into it, and I hate that family members don't want it. Since I think it needs a loving home, it has to come home with me!
I'm so glad that Spring is here, and I love seeing my birds displayed. I hope you liked seeing them too.
This post is partying with Met Monday at Between Naps on the Porch, Inspire Me Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life, Tweak it Tuesday at Cozy Little House, and You’re Gonna Love It Tuesday at Kathe with an E.

Beautiful birdies, Laurie. Of course the French plates are my favorites! Happy Spring!
I love the bird theme for Spring decorating. The French plates are charming with the sweet hand painted birds and the blue borders that remind me of the Spring sky on a sunny day.
Lovely. So full of flight!
