SPRINGTIME TABLE

Tablescape, Bargain Decorating with Laurie
I’m still trying to convince myself that it is Spring.  Well, it IS Spring, but the weather has not yet been convinced of that little fact.

So, even though I was serving winter food, I brought out the flowers and the birds for this table.

The individual casseroles are unmarked.  I bought them at Tuesday Morning years ago.  The dinner plates are Vietri, and I bought them at an estate sale one time.  Lace by Kennex chargers, purchased at J. C. Penney, top placemats I bought at a Kohl’s Sale a few years ago.Tablescape, Bargain Decorating with Laurie
I think I bought these napkins at a Pier One Sale years ago, and the pretty napkin rings were a gift from a friend.  I don’t know the pattern name of this flatware I purchased at Kohl’s long ago.

The cobalt glass goblets came from an antique store about four years ago, and the wine stems were from an estate sale.  (Do you ever get tired of reading the words “estate sale” on my blog?  I do love a good estate sale – especially if it is the last day of the sale.)  I also purchased this tablecloth from an estate sale.

The chubby Bluebird salt and pepper shakers were from…can you guess?… yep! another estate sale.

The bottom of this pitcher makes me laugh.  “Italian, Made in China”!  I think it may have also been a Tuesday Morning purchase.

All of these blogs that have been sharing springtime may have finally had some effect on the weather.  (You didn’t know we had that kind of influence, did you?  If I had ANY kind of influence over the weather, we would have had a very short, mild winter.)  The day after I served Chicken Spaghetti at this table, the sun came out, and the temperatures warmed a little.  I am grateful for the sunshine and the warmer temperatures, and I am grateful that you stopped in to visit.  laurie

This post is partying at  Centerpiece Wednesday at The Style Sisters and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

I love the bright and vibrant colors in your table! It says happy! I am sooooo ready for springlike weather. At least for the first time in months, most of the snow is gone!

Hi Laurie, what a lovely table for spring. I love Vietri too and have one piece in a serving tray.
Love the cobalt here and your pretty tablecloth and napkins.
Happy Frist Day of Spring.
Let's hope we've seen the last of winter.
Enjoy!
Hugs

Pretty table, Laurie, I love the tablecloth, it pops! I wish they made more flatware like that! I am always looking. I find the flatware easier to hide, I mean store, than dishes!
I did blue too this week. Maybe now that it is Spring I will be bold and do some pastels! Have a great weekend!
