VALENTINE DINNER FOR TWO

Valentine Dinner

I’m sharing a Valentine dinner for two tablescape today.

Valentine Dinner

Red plastic Dollar Store chargers, topped with Lenox Moonspun dinner plates and Williams Sonoma Soups.

Valentine Dinner

For a Valentine’s dinner, I have the use the silverware pattern, named “Eternally Yours” by William Rogers.

Valentine Dinner

Red stemware also seems to be a “must” for a Valentine table.

Valentine Dinner

On the bread plate (Vera Lace by Wedgwood), I used tiny red pots for melted butter, and baby spoons (yes, that’s a dog on the spoon handle) to put butter on our rolls and on our baked potatoes.

Valentine Dinner

A red heart-embroidered napkin is topped by a white “Love” handkerchief.

Valentine Dinner

My napkin holder is an ice skating girl.

Valentine Dinner

His holder is a boy with his sailboat.

Valentine Dinner

One of my “estate sale” tureens tops another red charger for service of our first course.

Valentines

I previously showed you this cloche, but I moved it to the table for a Valentine centerpiece.

Valentine Dinner

We have to have salt and pepper for baked potatoes.

Valentine Dinner

A close up of the tablecloth.

Valentine Dinner for Two

The best place to share soup, steak and baked potatoes is in front of the fireplace.

Laurie, your table for two in front of the fire looks like the perfect romantic evening. Love the sweet "love" hankie and the two figural napkin rings are making my heart swoon.

Laurie, the figural napkin rings are wonderful! I went to an antique show, and the vendor had made over 100 different figural napkin rings and I couldn't decide which ones I wanted so I bought none. I'll be at the party tomorrow evening!

A romantic dinner by the fire! What could be better? I love the pic of you two on your wedding day! And the whole table is lovely. Your Moonspun china is so versatile!

How is it that you can whip up table after lovely table, and I'm struggling with ONE?

I loved this, as usual. I will definitely not be here by tonight, but if the link is still active, I will link when the table is done. Don't really want to get my flowers too soon. Selfishly whining in my head that this link up isn't on Monday instead. Waaaaaa....

Anyway, back to work.

Laurie, I love the napkin rings, they are a beautiful sentimental touch for an already beautiful table. And you know I really love the cloche.

Laurie, everything is perfect for your Valentine table! Everything! I especially love that the name of your silverware fits the occasion. And, I have to mention the adorable salt and peppers - dogs represent love, don't they? I enjoyed your post very much!
