FRIDAY FAVES AT MY HOUSE

Snowmen Collection

Normally, when you visit me for Friday Faves, I am posting beautiful photos I’ve seen on the internet.  With Christmas on the way, I haven’t had much time for internet browsing, so today, I’m posting some of my favorite Christmas decorations in our sunroom.

After Christmas, I promise, I’ll return to posting beautiful inspiration for Friday Faves.  That vintage snowman with the hat and baton is a favorite gift from a friend.

If you saw the portion of my Santa collection that I posted, you’ll be shocked to see that I also have a snowman collection.  I know you’re starting to think I’m crazy, and when I have to put all of this up after Christmas, I’m going to be thinking I’m crazy too!

Another of my faves is in the sunroom.  This lighted box was a gift from a friend.  A glass plate that slides into the box is a photo of our Christmas mantle one year!  There are other glass plates that slide in for different times of the year.

Christmas

On top of my scale, I have one of the first Christmas decorations my sweetheart and I bought.  This little scene of carolers in front of houses has lost choir members and parts off of choir members, as our children often played with them when I wasn’t looking.

Christmas

They aren’t snowmen, but I love my decked out penguins.

Christmas vignette

A little Norman Rockwell vignette.

Christmas

A snowman filled Charlie Brown Christmas tree lives in the sunroom too.

Thank you for coming to see some of my faves today.  laurie

The big top hat makes the cutest tree topper! And I love that lighted box...looked at first like a little fireplace all lit up. Everything looks beautiful....I would spend all of my time in this room! Happy holidays!

Laurie, I know you and your grands are enjoying all these fun decorations. I didn't pull my snowmen out this holiday. Perhaps they will visit for the month of January after I've packed up the Christmas decor.
I'm enjoying quiet evenings by a cozy fire. Our tree is in the sunroom, but we can see it from the living room. Happy Holidays, dear friend………Sarah

Laurie, I loved seeing your snowmen as well as some of your other treasures! The little scene on top of your scale must bring back lots of memories for your family! Wish I could find a vintage snowman like yours!

I love your snowman collection! And the one with the baton is special, maybe a drum major snowman? I think I like this collection even better than your Santa Claus collection. These must give you so much pleasure, they would me.

And just think, snowmen in a sunroom!

Vada Grace, Thank you for your comment. When we moved into this house about 10 years ago, we added a family room. Across the back of the family room, I was so fortunate to be able to add a holiday closet. There are shelves on both sides of the closet. Other than ornaments, I don't even box up anything. I just put it all on the closet shelves. It was one of the best investments I've ever made!
