EASTER DÉCOR ON THE MANTEL

My mantel was decorated for St. Patrick’s Day but St. Patrick’s Day isn’t even over, and the Easter bunnies have commandeered the mantel to prepare their eggs for hiding.

You may have seen this “grass” on my Superbowl table.  I’ve used it for Easter décor (and other décor) for the past few years. I order the tissue paper “grass” on line from D. Blumchen & Co, and I use it over and over.  You just have to “fluff” it a little after something has squished it down.banner

Most of you know that I’m not a crafty person.  This Easter banner was a “kit” I ordered through Zulily.  All I had to do was attach the string.  Even that was difficult for me!cats

The cute bunny tag, hanging from my lamp, is the creation of Lynn at The Vintage Nest, and the glittery bunny card is the creation of Karen Harvey Cox at A Scrapbook of Inspiration.

I am linking to Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper and Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch.  You can probably tell that I’m trying to use the manual setting on my camera.  Please bear with me.  I may not get it figured out, and I may have to go back to the automatic setting.  Thanks for visiting.  laurie

Laurie, that is the sweetest Easter mantel! I took down the green stuff this morning and put up Easter decor, and I've already eaten one chocolate Easter rabbit! Have a great week.

Pretty and Springy (?). You did good on the banner.
I need to get some Easter/Spring decor finished up, as I have already started on a bag of peanut butter cups wrapped in pastel colored foil.:)
Have a great week.

Laurie, you are so on top of things. I've been gardening and not decorating. '-) Perhaps this week some Easter bunnies and eggs will find their way out of storage. Love seeing your mantel. It's so festive! The grass is a good tip. Thanks! Cute banner........Sarah
