Is your Easter basket as big as mine? I’ve mentioned before that we normally host about 30 family members for Easter dinner. I’ve recently mentioned that my sweetheart is running for public office in a six county election. The election is in May, so we are currently living and breathing “campaign”!

In a recent post, I shared some Easter vignettes, and I asked my readers if “vignetting” should be a word. Since so many agreed with me that it should be, I’m still Easter vignetting. Spring chicks have taken over the china cabinet in our kitchen.

Y’all know I’m not a crafty person. But, I like to pretend that I’m crafty (or that I’m going to get crafty) by saving wonderful do it yourself ideas. Today I’m sharing some do-it-yourself Easter ideas.

Yikes! I was going to post all of the Easter decorations at my house, and all of a sudden, Easter is almost here! That’s why I am posting several table top vignettes today.
Last year, I “crafted” this little Easter shadow box. It’s under a cloche this year.
Some of my Easter bunnies know that we are still having winter temperatures.

Are you serenaded while you cook? Right now, these little bunnies are giving a concert over my stoves.
I’m sorry to say that my cooking has not improved any since they showed up to play their instruments in my kitchen, but they do making cooking more fun.
I am linking to Table Top Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life. Some of you have asked about our grandson, Dylan Cooper, who was born on November 30, 2013, and weighed one pound 14 ounces. He is still hospitalized, but he is doing much better. He now weighs over six pounds. We so appreciate all of you who have been praying for him. He’s made amazing progress, and we hope to be bringing him home in the near future. Thank you. laurie

My mantel was decorated for St. Patrick’s Day but St. Patrick’s Day isn’t even over, and the Easter bunnies have commandeered the mantel to prepare their eggs for hiding.
You may have seen this “grass” on my Superbowl table. I’ve used it for Easter décor (and other décor) for the past few years. I order the tissue paper “grass” on line from D. Blumchen & Co, and I use it over and over. You just have to “fluff” it a little after something has squished it down.
I am linking to Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper and Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch. You can probably tell that I’m trying to use the manual setting on my camera. Please bear with me. I may not get it figured out, and I may have to go back to the automatic setting. Thanks for visiting. laurie
