IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LITTLE LIKE CHRISTMAS

I could show you pictures of my mantel for the last four years, and you’d probably think it was exactly the same every year.  I do usually make a little change or two, but I always use my Fontanini nativity on the mantel, so it is basically the same.

I’ve told the story before about finding this nativity set at an estate sale.  If you would like to read it, please click here.

Christmas has begun at my house.  If you’ve visited my blog during Christmas before, you know there is more Christmas to come.  I’m linking this post to Seasonal Sunday at The Tablescaper.  I really appreciate your visit.  laurie

Laurie, I have the same Fontanini nativity except my set doesn't have as many pieces and the background is so different. I love yours so much more! I am doing something different with mine this year and actually using it in 2 different places- love where I put the shepherds!

Just starting on my decorating- have a ton to do before the first of 4 parties that we are hosting again this year!

Hi Laurie, I have a small Fontanini nativity set and I love it. I bought it when we traveled to Italy. I went back to read how you found your set, I think I remember reading that post. What a lucky find. I love these pieces and your mantle is beautiful............

I am enjoying seeing your Fontanini nativity. Sometimes we forget some of the detail so it is nice to see it again. Beautiful scene.

Laurie, it's always a treat to see your Fontanini nativity. Such beautiful workmanship! You are off to a good start. We still have turkeys and pumpkins sitting about.
Glad your Thanksgiving was overflowing with family. That's wonderful! I'm sure you found some extra plates in the cupboards. ;-)

I love that you use the nativity set as the focal point for your mantel decorating. The traditional look is always the best, I think! I hope to get my things down from the attic today. It's a late start once again for all my trees. I think less is going to be more this year. LOL hugs, Sue

Your mantels will be new to me this year since I so recently discovered you. And I love Nativity scenes! Bought a Dept. 56 one at Goodwill recently but my old one is a marriage of the Family with odds and ends I've found over the years. Last year I even added an elephant from Goodwill. I don't think the Baby Jesus minds having an elephant at his manger!

I can't wait to see your December posts throughout the month, Laurie.

I love your Nativity, just gorgeous!
I brought up the first one, it will take me many trips up and down . I envy your huge decoration room on the same floor! Of course, I can have a Cmas cookie every time I come up cause I work it off, LOL! I would have to make a 100 trips a day to keep up with the cookie intake!
Have a good week, Laurie!

Your nativity set is beautiful! I have been looking a for a pretty nativity set. That is the one Christmas item I don't own.
I won't pay full price for anything, but I have not run across one as of yet thrifting.

With all of the harvest decos you had out, I'm amazed that you've started Christmas.

Great to have you at Seasonal Sundays.
