LET IT SNOW

I am sharing a few vignettes from my sunroom today.  I love our sunroom, but it is a difficult place to take pictures.  In the day time, the sun is too bright, and at night, the reflections in the windows are distracting.  Snowmen live in my sunroom during the holidays.  We don’t get much snow in Arkansas, but I can pretend.

A couple of years ago, when I saw the top hat on the Christmas tree at Pat’s Backporch Musings, I knew I had to copy her idea for the tree in our sunroom.  Thanks for the inspiration, Pat.

Several years ago, I ordered this candle lamp from Lynn at Lynn’s Gifts from the Heart.  The “candle” cover can be changed for the seasons, and I also ordered this adorable snowman cover from her.

Some of you may recall that I shared a pretty little light box given to me by my friends, Carter and Suzie.  I posted about it here.  It had the logo for our graduation class on it.  I told you I couldn’t wait to show it to you at Christmastime.

They had a photo of our family room at Christmastime printed on one of the glass pieces to fit into the box.  Isn’t that cool?  Last year’s Christmas trees were posted here.

We have the two trees up this year, but only one of them is decorated!  As some of you know, our son has a new baby, who is hospitalized three hours from our home, and his two sisters are staying with us.  In addition, our daughter’s son, who is six years old, has the flu.  Things have been a little crazy at our house this year, and I’m not sure the second tree will get decorated.  If it does, I will post pictures.

Some of you have asked about our grandson.  Dylan Cooper, who will apparently be called Coop by some and Cooper by others, was born 3 months early and weighed under 2 pounds.  He will be hospitalized for several months.  Although he has had a few set backs, he is a little fighter, and for now, his health seems to be improving.  Our family deeply appreciates that so many of you are praying for our little fighter.  Please continue. Cooper’s sisters are staying with us, while their parents are at the hospital with him 3 hours from our home.  I really am “snowed under”, and I’m so sorry that I haven’t been able to visit my favorite blogs.

I am linking this post to A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday.  I’m so glad you came to visit me.  laurie
