THANKSGIVING VIGNETTES IN THE SUNROOM

Fall Cottages Vignette

For a vignette on the buffet in the sunroom, I imagined a village in the Fall.

Cottage in Fall Vignette

I bought Anne Hathaway's cottage at sidewalk sale at a home décor store.

Fall Cottages on Plates

The platter and the bowl depict cottages. I don't know why when I decorate for Fall, I think of cottages.

Painted Pumpkin Fall Vignette

Maybe it's because I like to be cozy when the temperatures start dropping, and cottages are usually cozy places.

Fall Villages in Vignette

There's a sweet cottage on the planter that lives on this buffet year-round.

Fall Village depiced on Plate

I love the plaid ribbon on this plate that I bought at an estate sale.

Leaves are Falling - Falling Vignette

Leaves are falling, and my Santos is collecting them in her basket.
Shadow Box Frame in Fall Vignette
This is kind of a fun addition to the shelf above the buffet. Some of you may have read in previous posts that I grew up in the house where we now  live. This beat up shabby chic shadowbox frame belonged to my grandmother. It already had the dead-looking Fall plants in it. I slipped in a photo of our house when my parents built it in 1949, and I'm calling it Fall décor!

Give Thanks Bird House in Fall Vignette

On another table in the sunroom, even the birds are giving thanks.

Ceramic Pilgrims in Fall Vignette

Happy child-like ceramic pilgrims and a glass Thanksgiving plate decorate another table in the sunroom.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here. Before I know it, we'll be decorating for Christmas.
Thank you for stopping by to visit me.

You have such wonderful things, but more importantly it is obvious that you love them as you honor them by placing them so lovingly. I am sure that your parents must have smiled up in heaven when you placed the picture of their home in your grandmother's shadow box. Believe me, these things matter to more than just family. What inspiration!

I love what you do with "cozy". I really like the photo that you have of your home, from when your parents built it.

I think of cozy when I think of fall. The cooler weather, the crisp feel of the air, and the russet colors all come together to give me a cozy feel. Love seeing your vignettes. Happy Thanksgiving!
