Our table is ready for a Mardi Gras celebration.
My sister-in-law, Brenda (who obviously knows me well) bought a box of Mardi Gras masks at a yard sale for me.
So, I had a mask for each place setting.
The only purpose of this etched glass plate was to protect the dinner plate from glitter and feathers on the masks.
Place settings started with bright green ruffle-edged, metal chargers. On top of those, I used my clear glass, gold beaded chargers. The dinner plates are Snowflake by Noble Excellence (there are bowls with snowflakes on them that go with these plates, which I assume is the reason for the name of the plates.)
The wine stems have a slight gold tint, and the swirls remind me of a celebration. Water goblets are in different jewel tones.
I used fleur de lis tassels to secure the gold striped napkins and they also serve as a take-home favor for guests.
Bread plates depict different French operas. The only mark on them is a circle with the letters "PV" in the middle. I found these plates at an estate sale a couple of years ago.
A "Nawlins" umbrella is secured in a hurricane with a lot of Mardi Gras beads (another find by my sister-in-law at the yard sale).
I don't like the idea of only one person having good luck because they find the baby in the King Cake, so at the base of the hurricane, I have a baby for each guest.
The centerpiece is on a footed gold, glass beaded server, which is on top of a sequined vest from my closet! (Nothing is safe from my tablescaping escapades!)
Mardi Gras masks rest at each end of the centerpiece.
There is so much sunlight in our sun room that I always have a hard time taking pictures in there, but the reflection from snow on the ground made it even more difficult!
Thank you for stopping by. laurie

That's a perfect Mardi Gras table!
Your table is FABULOUS!!! The centerpieceis genius. Love the wine stems. Beautiful job.
This table is a real Wow! Where do I start. The beautiful plate stack is so perfect and just speaks a fun Mardi Gras party. Love the shade of green and with the purple plate so beautiful. Goblets are so lovely. Where did you find the fleur de lis tassels such a clever idea. They are the perfect touch. Love the bread plates, I have never seen any like them. The umbrella, I wish I had one for my table, it really makes the centerpiece stunning and to display in the large vase with beads.... is so creative and makes for one stunning table! Thanks for posting this so we can all enjoy it! Valerie
very fun Laurie! Love the 2 chargers stacked and that everyone gets a baby! That's so funny that she found the masks at a yard sale! Mardi Gras perfect!

Found you through Centerpiece Wednesday. I did a Mardi Gras table too, so naturally I had to click on your link. Your table is ELEGANT. Those feathery masks are wonderful. Can't believe your SIL found them at a yard sale - and in such good condition too!
I'm in love with the napkin holders. I like giving little gifts to my guests too. Wish I would have thought about that this time.
I bet you use those clear beaded chargers a lot.
I'm going to have to get an umbrella for next year's table. Thank you for sharing this table.
Hi Laurie, what a grand table for Mardi Gras. Love all your treasures and the gorgeous jewel tone colors. The masks are awesome. I adore how you used the fleur di lis tassel for a napkin holder. Everything looks great against the black tablecloth.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, CM
What fun Laurie! How lucky she found you those masks! I like the beaded centerpiece! I know so little about Mardi Gras traditions- I didn't know about the little baby and good luck concept from the King Cake. Great dish stack- love those with the French scenes!
Wonderful Mardi Gras theme! Your centerpiece is so creative and pretty and love those masks!
