I'm so excited to be a part of the Holiday Home Tour, hosted by Michele at Shelstring. If you haven't seen the other homes on the tour, they are listed at the bottom of this post, and I know you'll want to go see all of them.
Today, I'm giving you a tour of our study/dining room (which is seldom used for dining). If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you know I love vintage.
If you're a regular visitor to my blog, you know I love to collect.
So, I've decorated our study with some of my vintage Christmas decor. If you aren't a regular visitor to my blog, I want to let you know that not all of my decor is this retro. (I love a LOT of different decorating eras.)
There are a lot of photos on this post, so I'm going to attempt to share fewer words. Regular visitors also know that I’m not a blogger with only a few words.
I know you're not surprised that someone who collects as much as I do has a Christmas village.
Do you remember the Hallmark movie, Sarah, Plain and Tall? My Mother-in-Law gave me the houses depicting that movie, so I've used the top of the piano for that village.
Her home in Maine is on the left. As a mail order bride, she took the train from Maine to the Kansas Prarie, so I have a train station in the middle of the piano. On the right, is the Kansas village where Sarah married Caleb.
Thank you so much for your visit. If you are new to my blog, I hope you'll come back to visit often. Don't forget to go see all of the wonderful holiday decor on other blogs featured in the Winter Wonderland Holiday Home Tour.

What beautiful holiday collectibles you've accumulated through the years. Everything looks very festive and fun!
Gorgeous! I love all the vintage-y goodness!
So beautiful. Love your Christmas village. I have one too but just collect certain houses. Of course my favorite I have is the White House. Merry Christmas to you and enjoy your pretty decorations.
Hi Laurie, I have loved your Christmas tour and enjoy seeing all vintage and retro decor. You have created a rotunda of Christmas. Your grands have to feel like they are in wonderland when they visit.
You put so much detail to your displays and filled with love for your special keepsakes and treasures.
Love the village. I did not put out my sets this year. Just ran out of steam!!
Thank you for sharing and also for stopping by and your sweet visit.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs
I love your decor, Laurie, and I LOVED the movie Sarah, Plain and Tall... one of the few movies I've bought in my life. How neat that there is a village for it!
Love your village, Laurie! We haven't used ours in years and every year I try to think where I could set it up. We only have about 1/3 of what you have, but we are in a smaller home now so space is at a minimum. I kept things very simple this year, but maybe next year that village will make its way out again. Maybe on top of the kitchen cabinets.
OMG!!! Lovely and precious collectibles! I especially love the white sled with reindeer!!!
It's all amazing! And beautiful! And oh-so-festive! Merry Christmas to you :)
Stopping by from Brenda's, love your village we have older ones from JoAnn's at least 15 years ago! Your vignettes are amazing and very cherry Christmas!
