JUST WALKING AROUND, SNAPPIN’

fav_thngs_cmbnd_thumb[1][1]

I walked around, looking for some of my favorite things, and snapped a picture when I saw one of my favorites.  So, the only connection that my favorite things today have is that they are some of my favs.

All of my Christmas décor really HAS been put away, but one of my favorite things is a Christmas decoration I just ordered from Lynn at The Vintage Nest.  I just love this paper cut out of the nativity.

My new tablecloth that I put on my breakfast room table is one of my current favorites.

When I bought this framed plate at a flea market, the seller said it would look really pretty in a different frame.  I think she was a little shocked when I told her that one of the reasons I was buying it is that I LIKED the homemade leather belt frame, even if it was a little worse for the wear.

This needlepoint bell pull was a Christmas gift from my niece years ago.  Her grandfather had crafted this beautiful bell pull, and it remains one of my favorite things – not only because of it’s beauty, but because of the sentimental value it holds.

My 2011 Quimper calendar tea towel is another of my current favorite things.  It was a gift from Brittany Byways when I ordered something during 2010, and I couldn’t wait to display it for the new year.

This weekend, I am at the hunting camp with my husband, my son, his wife, and two of our granddaughters, and I did a little snapping here too.  God’s beautiful creations are always a favorite of mine, so I’m sharing a sunset and melting snow in the woods.  They are also my contribution to Seasonal Sunday at The Tablescaper.

Hmmm... when you went off to the cabin, did you leave your door unlocked? :-)

Gorgeous woodland photos, too!

So many wonderful little snappings! I love the belt frame and would leave it as is too. It's too unique to switch out.

I would LOVE to have that tablecloth too. I'm imagining it all warm and welcoming on a table.

Love the vibrant colors of the cloth, esp since all I see is WHITE!

Being in the woods sounds so blissful and fun!! Great snapping by the way- looks like everyone is having fun!

I so wanted to join your party but I think there must be something wrong with my computer. The linky to sign up isn't showing and it's not showing for me at Cindy's My Romantic home either! I am wondering if I have a bug- yikes!

Hello MS Laurie :) I am so pleased that your holiday season was beautiful in imagery as well as in heart. And having been absent for so long, I had to go beyond this post to simply indulge my senses in all the beauty of your blog posts :) I am in love with the duo of trees at the fireplace...the children in the woods making memories...and your oh so luscious french tablecloth with the roosters in red, I adore them all :)

Hey Laurie-I had intended to do a post for Favorite Things but we had a freak 1 day power outage and then no internet for 24 hours!!! I agree with you on the belt frame. That is what gives it character. The hunting camp pictures are priceless, as I am sure the weekend was! Our snow has been replaced by yucky cold rain :(
