My mantel has gone from this cluttered look…
to this cluttered look!
When my husband, who has only been married to me for 43 years, saw the Valentine’s mantel, he said, “I thought maybe with Christmas and New Years behind us, the mantel might go back to an uncluttered look”! After 43 years, he still has hope! What a guy!
I’m sure that, even if you’ve only visited my blog a few times, YOU know that I don’t EVER do uncluttered! Once I start, it’s impossible for me to stop, unless I’ve added everything I own that might pertain to what is on the mantel or table top! Besides, with a memory like his, I obviously need to give my sweetheart BIG reminders that Valentine’s Day is approaching!
I am linking to Table Top Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life, and Before and After at Savvy Southern Style. Be sure to click on these blogs to visit Marty and Kim for some wonderful link ups.
(Okay, it’s a big reminder!)

My goodness, Laurie you have a lot of valentine stuff. Very cute what you have done. I don't own one single valentine item.

I love your fabulous mantels Laurie! Full of the stuff dreams are made of. Your husband knows better than to think you're going to let Valentines escape a good decoratin' plan! *winks* NEVER happen! Vanna
I need a mantel to decorate, but it is not going to happen here.
Thanks for stopping by. I am getting a few minor things done at this point, but have had some interruptions also.
Stay warm - another cold front coming thru!

Laurie I guess I'm ready to start getting my Valentine decorations out. Your mantel is so cue.
You can never display too much, when you have great stuff!! Take care, Sally
Laurie, you are on top of the game. I've not even begun to think about putting out the valentine things. Guess I'd better get busy. Looking forward to your party!
Your mosaic is clever! ~ Sarah

I love it Laurie! It is so fun and sweet. You know Mr Laurie would be very concerned about your mental health if a holiday came up and your DIDN'T deck out the mantel!
It looks wonderful. Love all the vintage charm. I have absolutely nothing for Valentines day! Do you want to share?
Boy did I laugh when I read: "my mantel is going from this cluttered look to THIS cluttered look!" LOL! I can just picture your husband when he saw it! But is IS very pretty and festive. Love your Valentine garland!
Best,
Gloria
My favorite thing about your mantels is usually the banners. I love how they swoop down and balance the top.
One of these days, I'm going to do a banner for my fireplace. I love your Valentines one and all the goodies to look at above it. Now, I want to begin Valentine's decorating. I hadn't been all that motivated yet.
Hi Laurie,
It's not cluttered, it's perfect!
You have the best Valentine decor, hands down, of anyone I know!
I love your mantel and deep down I know your hubby loves it too and is so proud of his wife!
Hugs and have a wonderful day!

With all of my decorating, I have never done a Valentine's mantel. Yours really is spectacular. I adore his comment and your thoughts about his comment - hope springs eternal doesn't it!
Those guys just keep hoping, don't they? Well, let them keep on hoping. Guess it's the least we "clutterers" can do.
Brenda
Are you sure you weren't a school teacher in your former life?? I don't do as much anymore. Now I can just enjoy yours! SO FESTIVE!
WOW!!! That mantle is amazing! Busy for certain, but so awesomely cohesive, it is it's own wonderland, I gotta go back up and click it to oogle to my heart's delight!!! Fantastic!
My Valentines are so ready to go! Can't wait for the party! Yes, I have your button on my side bar but when will I be able to connect to it? I assume on Feb. 10 during the p.m.? Dont want to miss the big event!
Love,
Shirley & Cupid...
