YEE-HAW!

Those who have been reading my blog for awhile already know that my sweetheart is a cowboy wannabe.  He just had another birthday (they seem to come around more often these days!), so of course, he got a chuck wagon, cowboy birthday dinner.

I served a salad in clear glass bowls, which I put in “campfire skillets”, and the salad dressing was in the little boot jiggers at each place setting.

Vintage cowboy toys decorated a side table.  Yep, that’s the cowboy wannabe when he was a little bitty cowpoke.

ovrhd While the cowboy ripped into some birthday gifts, I reset the table for dessert.  Of course, as soon as I had the table ready, everyone rushed over to get cake and ice cream.  So…… I wasn’t able to take photos of the table.  The following day (after I had removed a leaf from the table and redecorated the side table with Halloween instead of cowboy, I recreated the dessert table for a photo session.

The centerpiece for the dessert table was these cute candy kabobs that Sarah at Hyacinths for The Soul sent me.  (Obviously, Sarah knew my sweetheart would be getting another cowboy table soon.) I think the grands didn’t realize they were edible, so I was able to re-wrap them and save them until the next night, when the grands came trick-or-treating.  Sarah, I loved having these for a great centerpiece, and my grands loved getting them in their trick-or-treat buckets.  Thank you for all of the fun these darling kabobs provided at my house!

I love this cowboy table! You are so clever the way you layered the cast iron skillet with the plates. And that tablecloth is wonderful! Cute little boy pic of your cowboy too.

You know I love the cowboy stuff being a cowgirl wannabe myself. I don't know why I was fascinated with cowgirl stuff, as I wasn't the outdoorsy type at all. I still have my toy guns, though. Enjoyed this tablescape - they are always great. Sally

What I love about your tables is that they are always so creative! My favorite two parts of this one would be those cute little boot jiggers and the frying pans holding the salad plates. Now, that's just plain FUN. Those scewers are very cool, too.

Happy Birthday to the cowboy wannabe... who gets a big yeeehaw for his table!
