In my recent post, I shared my after-Christmas mantel and talked about how dull the house looks without Christmas décor. The proof is in the pictures. Remember all of the Santas I showed in this hutch?
The Santas have all gone back into the holiday closet.
There were even more Santas in these shelves.
This is how the shelves look now.
Remember my stove alcove in the kitchen?
Scrooge and all of the rest have gone back into the holiday closet.
The Christmas Village Train Station is no longer on the piano.
It looks this way now.
The cabinet in our study was filled with Christmas joy.
Now it's filled with things that need a storage space.
Our Fontannini Nativity was on the desk in our front entry.
Now ordinary desk items fill the desk.
I'm glad to have accomplished putting away the Christmas decor, but I'm kind of missing it. I'll be getting Valentine décor out of the holiday closet now, so my after-Christmas dull drums won't last long.
Thanks for stopping by.

That sounds like a full time job putting up and taking down decorations. I'm so glad you like to do it though...we get to enjoy it without the work. Lol
Wow! You have been busy. You have a beautiful home, and all your decorations are gorgeous. I am so glad I stopped by. Thanks for sharing. Karie
Hi Laurie, you have been a busy girl but so worth it for the refresh to winter. Love your displays. Your home is beautiful! xo
LOL, I hardly think your Quimper is dull...nor your lovely boy monk? statue in front of the mirror.
Red is such a cheery color, and behind your collections it adds that.
String some hearts...LOL, Fun post-I feel that way when Fall comes down in my house. Sandi
Everytime I see all those glorious bookcase shelves I think... holy cow I get all kinds of goodies on those!
What a great play area for all your treasures, good job!
