I used a Christmas throw as a table cover.
The rusticity of this lantern reminded me of a stable, so I set my little vintage Woolworth nativity figures inside it.
If you are a minimalist, close your eyes, or leave now! I’m never a minimalist, but at Christmastime, even I admit I go
Quirky Three Kings mix with vintage and handmade cards, Santa, a bear, a snowman, and candy canes! You can’t say I’m afraid to mix things up.
Chargers: Kennex Lace; Dinner plates: Fitz & Floyd Country Plaid. Everything else: collected through the years and maker unknown.
I’m linking to Let’s Dish Wednesday at Cuisine Kathleen and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.
I’m so glad you stopped in to visit. I would appreciate prayers for my daughter-in-law and unborn grandson. The due date is in March, and she has been hospitalized with problems. laurie

Your DIL and grandson will be in my prayers Laurie. All of your decor is wonderful! I could spend hours looking at each sweet piece. I'd love it if you shared this at our "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" party going on right now.
I am a minimalist, but love people who are not! I enjoyed all of your treasures!
I am not a minimalist and I loved the business of the throw turned tablecloth. I think the lantern for the Nativity set is genius. I may have to try that.
Enjoyed seeing all your many treasures. Most importantly - I will keep your DIl and new grandson in my prayers.
I love your three kings!
The happiest three little kings I have ever seen! This is all so cute. Sorry for your troubles right now.
Laurie, it's fun to see more of your breakfast room and some close up shots of your Q collection. I think it is growing. ;-) Thanks for sharing! ~ Sarah
Love the table and I also love a home with lots of decorations to look at!! I will be praying for your DIL and baby!
hugs, Linda
Laurie, you have the most amazing collection of dishes and accoutrements to go with your tablescapes. Love the tartan plates.
Looks like a nice collection of Quimper, too!
Oh my goodness Laurie, you really do have some of the most gorgeous decorations. I love it all.
I will definitely keep your daughter-in-law in my prayers. God Bless. Hugs, Marty

Laurie,
All I have to say is, "Oh my!"! What an entertaining room. Will certainly lift prayers for your daughter-in-law and the baby. Dainne
Oh gosh, so nice to visit a soulmate. However, due to age, I've had to cut back the decorating.. oh not age.. it's the taking out and putting back up :(. But I still decorate every single room. Love your table.. and really am having a small fit over the wooden village in the cloche.. wonderful.. you gave me an idea! xo marlis
Christmas is THE time to go overboard, so you're right in step! Wow...such cool decor! I love the way you used the lantern as a stable. Very cool! The 3 kings look kinda like a hip rap group! :-) You have some really, really cool stuff with an incredible vintage vibe!!!
Laurie,
I will be praying for your daughter-in-law!
I love your lantern and cloche ideas! Will definitely be using those! Thank you!
Blessings! Heather
Laurie my Dear friend..God first!! I will be adding your daughter in law and grandson to my prayer list right now..
I love all of your "Wonderland" of CHRISTmas things..love the plaid dinner ware it's so Christmas to me..as a kid we always had green/red decorating..my mama had red napkins we only got to use at our Christmas table..I adore all your stuff and girl your house is like mine..I have to have it packed to the max ha ha!! I hate dusting it all so I don't anymore and blame it on old age now..Every time I buy something new my daughter always says the same thing to me "Mom whats going to happen to all this stuff when you die" and I always tell her the same thing not my problem then ha ha!!
It's been good that I have not been able to get out and shop like I use to..But there is always online shopping ha ha!!But I can say since I have gotten so ill I have not got as many things anymore..No more room at the Inn so to speak..
Love ya my dear friend..Prayer are with you and your family..Blessings Gloria
Laurie, you are amazing! How do you ever get guests to LEAVE your house? There are so many pretties to see, and it must take time for them to get their fill! I especially love the use of the lantern as a stable for the creche figures -- perfect for the Light of the World!
Oh, Laurie, I missed the bit at the end about your daughter-in-law! Prayers on the way! We are expecting a granddaughter in the next couple of weeks -- can't wait!
First, I can definitely pray for your daughter and baby. I will pray for an anxious MOTHER named Laurie too.
Your breakfast area is just wonderful. It's warm yet cheerful at the same time. I love that picture with the table next to all the dishes the best of all.
I love it ! Praying !
Oh, my goodness, this is a visual feast! How beautiful. Will pray for your son's wife and baby. Take care.
Excellent, if those are Woolworth vintage in the nativity set, they surely do resemble Fontanini. Prayers for Mom and unborn. I have been fiddling oday with a few Christmas things here & there, and tmorrow nativity sets will come out. I think we are heading south in a couple weeks so no tree and no more stuff dragged out from the Christmas closet. You are so ambitious.
Prayers go to your daughter-in-law and grandson. I hope that whatever it is shall pass soon. Be strong for them...
Thanks for sharing photos of your wonderful Christmas decors, I just love seeing these things, makes me excited, more and more, each day- for the holidays. LOL~ Take care Laurie. xoxo ~ Muse~
This entire post put a huge smile on my face. I can see a child walking into that breakfast room and just become enthralled with all the Christmas decorations. What a festive table!
You have the best "stuff!" I love that quilt as a tablecloth and using a lantern as a stable is a great idea! Love how "overboard" you go!!! As I tell people about my "overboard" seasonal decorating - everyone needs s hobby!
so pretty! i love the idea of using a quilt on the table!!! my mil used to make quilts and we have a few. what a great idea! merry Christmas!!!
You certainly have my prayers! Keep us informed.
I love your table, and those quirky Kings are super! I have to make some shepherds and Kings costumes for our living Nativity. Our 5 mo gson will be Baby Jesus. This is the first year we are doing this, we will see how it goes!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection at Let's Dish!
I just love all of your Christmas pretties, Laurie. Especially the lantern with the nativity inside. Great idea to leave the door open. In my book, if ever there's a time to go overboard, it's Christmas!
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers for your sweet grandson. I'm sure your granddaughters are enjoying your home all decked out for the Christmas season. I love all your pretties Laurie. Love the vignettes and the choir under the cloche (I have that one too) is one of my favorites. Breakfast room feels so cozy and I love the decorations. I love all the cards and santa banner on your hutch of course the Quimper. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Laurie,
I've always admired your decorating ability, but placing the nativity inside the rustic lantern is genius.
Your table is beautiful and love the breakfast room.
