But tablescaping in white is not my forte’. We are having guests for dinner Thursday night prior to going to a party at a friend’s home. Because of Kathleen’s white tablescaping party in Blogville, we will have our dinner on a white tablescape in my home.
I don’t have much to say about this tablescape, except to tell you that the table covering is supposed to be wrinkled (that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it!) I wanted something kind of sparkly, so I overlapped three of those inexpensive white glittery Christmas tree skirts to cover the table.
I’m linking to the White Christmas “partay” at Cuisine Kathleen. If Kathleen wasn’t such a sweetheart, I would not have posted my white tablescape, because it REALLY looked much better in my dreams! Head on over to sweet Kathleen’s to get the links to see some beautiful white tablescapes.
I’m also linking to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch. Go see our gracious tablescape hostess, Susan, to see some fab tables.
I hope you’ll come back to link up with me for Favorite Things Saturday. There will be some kind of linky here on Friday evening (I’m going to have to investigate the linky thing, because the one I’ve been using is going to start charging for thumbnail pictures. Does anybody have any suggestions about what I should try next?)
Thank you for stopping by to see me. laurie

Hi Laurie! I've been missing you! So good to stop by and see what you are up to. You are way too hard on yourself as your white tablescape is very dreamy! Truly it is. I love that you have used the mirrors and mercury glass and silver sparkleys to truly make it a lovely table. I'm sure your guests felt like they were in a winter wonderland.
Stay warm,
Donna
Laurie, it looks beautiful to me! Your layers of silver and mirrors with the mercury glass is stunning. And the tree glistening in the background is the icing on the cake. Enjoy your dinner party. I know your guests will feel special dining at this table. ~ Sarah

Although I don't like cold (maybe because it is below zero here this morning) I adore the snowmen too.
Its driving me crazy, what are they really saying? I see partA so it's not just party or party on. Is it partake? or partah? partay?
Your tablescape is glorious in its white beauty.
Laurie, I don't think you need to apologize for this table! How clever to use tree skirts -- great idea! Is that your Moonspun plate in one of the closeups? I love the use of mirrors to magnify all the sparkly silver!
Your guests will enjoy sitting at such a pretty table. I would have never thought to use tree skirts, and it works.

Hello dear friend~ Oh your tablescape makes me feel merry and bright!
And what is this I see? Two trees! I have been so busy with school I have done NO decorating. :)
Can I borrow you?
Seasons greetings to you and yours.
I think your white table is beautiful. You always do wonderful tables - I'm amazed at your prop closet. I remember that you showed it to us once - I was truly envious. Enjoy the coming week - it is a glorious time. Sally
You silly silly! That's a beautiful partay setting!! How'd it go? I bet your guests were thrilled to pieces!
And Laurie I noticed we have the same red/gold striped silk curtains. Can I ask where you found yours? I need to buy one more set of them and can't fine em anywhere.
And about that thumbnail thing.....that sucks! How much do they want to charge for that now? I'm all ready for the next favorite things Saturday....and I'm still not posting Christmas....Sorry! Vanna
Oooooooohhhhh! Sparkly!
I like it!
Very glamorous, my dear. All the silver touches are delightful. What is really important though is having people gather round the table. Happy holidays.
Hi Laurie, this is less than usual? Wow, you sure do have extensive collections. I bet children love your house. It's like going to Santa's house. Love all your decorations and still loving those two trees.
Love your sparkling glittery icy winter white table. The silver and white look so pretty together -- a true winter wonderland!
This is quite a sophisticated tablescape...you have a good eye for design, and you did a wonderful job on this table. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
