SPRINGTIME ON THE MANTEL

The bunnies have hopped off our mantel, and the birds have landed. Can you see the little birds outside the window?

TEN SPRINGTIME TABLESCAPE IDEAS

2016

I'm still putting away dishes from our Easter dinner, so today, I'm sharing Spring tables I've posted in the past.

A BRIGHT EASTER TABLE

Predictions are that our Easter egg hunt may get rained out. I decided to set a bright Easter table in an attempt to combat the weather.

EASTER DECOR TOUR

Yikes! Easter is almost here. I'm sharing some Easter décor from around the house (before it's time to put it all away). The vintage metal bunny with cart was a gift some years ago from my friend, Charlie Ann.

EASTER DESSERT TABLE

The dessert table is ready for Easter. Now, I have to get the desserts made.

TROUBLE WITH THE TWINS-EASTER MANTEL DECOR

Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny decided the twins were old enough to hide eggs this year.

ELEVEN EASTER TABLESCAPE IDEAS

2016

I'm re-sharing some of my past Easter tablescapes. I hope some of them inspire you. This was the dessert table last year.

SPRING VIGNETTES

Wishing you a wonderful Memorial Day.

I recently told you I was having health issues, and my posting might be sporadic for awhile. This is a re-post from 2014 of Spring vignettes on the buffet in our family room. You may remember I told you that while I was preparing the original post I realized that almost everything on the buffet began with the letter "B" (birds, books, blooms, blossoms, and blues and even buffet).  A spotted blue glass bird sits in front of a flower pot painted with blue blooms.

A TABLE TO INSPIRE GARDENING

It's time to get out and do some work in the yard. To inspire us, we had a gardening-themed dinner this week.

BLUE AND WHITE SPRING VIGNETTES

The buffet behind the sofa in our family room is difficult to photograph. I can't stand back far enough to get a good picture of the full buffet.

SPRING DECOR IN THE SUNROOM

Birds and bees, flowers and trees, ducks and bugs. Oh My! And they're all in our sunroom. Oh My (again)!

SPRING BIRDS ON THE MANTEL

The birds have landed on our mantel for the Spring season. I used a vintage tablecloth behind the vintage window.

EASTER DECOR I HAVEN’T SHARED

It's already Easter, and I haven't shared some of my Easter décor, so today, I'm sharing a little more. Easter chicks are hatching on the piano.

EASTER DESSERT TABLE

Our Easter dessert table is ready for desserts, which I haven't prepared yet. Hope I get it all accomplished in time to fill these plates!

PLAYING WITH VIGNETTES

I was creating a little Springtime vignette on a table in the sun room when I realized that I never grew up. I still like to play with miniatures. This picture made me think of gardening.

FLOWERS FOR THE TABLE

On Mother’s Day, my table was blooming. This could also be a table for a Spring or Summer celebration.  Since this tablecloth is a little over powering, I tried to neutralize it with white place mats and napkins.

TABLESCAPES IN SPRING

2014

Spring has sprung, and right now, I'm enjoying it too much to set a table.  So, I'm sharing some of my past Spring tablescapes.

ARE YOU AN OPTIMIST?

Eight years ago, I planted two tiny climbing miniature rose bushes.  I asked my husband to build a trellis for them to climb.  I told him the trellis needed to be higher than the fence.

PUPPIES AND LAVENDER FOR SPRING

Springtime makes me think of children outside, playing with their dogs.  Using faux Lavender and faux dogs, I created a Spring vignette on the buffet in our family room.

MAY DAY CELEBRATION

Y'all know I love a theme.  Once I start with a theme, I can't seem to stop myself.  That's why I have another humorous napkin presentation on this table.  (It may also be humorous to some that I just noticed when posting these pictures that I reversed the placement of the salad and dinner forks.)
