VALENTINE MANTEL

There's still snow on our mantel!

But there are also vintage Valentine candy boxes and cards on the mantel.

Mr. Penguin is dressed to take Mrs. Penguin to the Valentine party.

A vintage Child Life Valentine issue centers the mantel.

Mrs. Penguin is wearing her fanciest dress to the party.

I found the Valentine party napkin in a box of my mother's things. (You know I inherited the hoarding collecting gene from her). My friend, Susie, gave me the cute Valentine treat box.

Loving words are written on Chalkboard-looking hearts.

Another party napkin my mother saved! The felt heart string is supposed to be a Christmas tree ornament, but I like it for the Valentine season.

Mr. and Mrs. Penguin wish you a happy Valentine's celebration. Remember, whether you have a special someone or not, you are loved and there are those whom you love. Events in our world demonstrate that we all need the love of God and of other people. Spread God's and your love to others every day, even if only with a smile. You never know what that smile may do to make another person's day better.

You are on top of your game, Laurie. I brought down the valentine bins from the attic today, but that's as far as I've gotten. You inspire me! Here's to February and Valentine's Day!
