CHRISTMAS IN THE FAMILY ROOM

If you've visited me during the Christmas season in the past, you know we have a Santa collection.

I've displayed part of the collection in the family room hutch.

Yes, you read that right. This is only part of our collection!

I previously shared our Christmas mantel here.

We finally have the trees and the hearth decorated.

We use a hodgepodge of ornaments.

We've collected ornaments, inherited ornaments, and been gifted ornaments, so we have a lot of variety on our trees.

I decided to show you our trees before I revealed the rest of Santa collection in the hope that you'd forget how many I'd already shown you by the time I revealed the rest of the collection.

I began the collection with three Santa figures before my sweetheart and I got married 47 years ago.

Since then, we have inherited some Santa figures.

Once people find out you have a collection, they start gifting you with additions to your collection.

I wish I could tell you we haven't purchased any during our marriage, but if we find a unique or vintage Santa, we sometimes break down and buy it.

I will tell you that we haven't bought one in several years, and we don't have any intentions of adding to the collection (unless we find something REALLY special!).

Just when you'd decided we couldn't get any crazier, I'm sharing a few more Santas. The vintage and reproduction Santa ornaments are on this little tree.

Vintage Christmas light covers are in a tray at the base of the tree. The little music box is a nativity with animals circling the holy family.

Sheep graze around the holy family on the buffet in our family room.

I'm not sure I've ever used this many photos in a post. Thank you for sticking with me through the tour of our family room Christmas decor.

I collect Santas also. I counted them one year and had over 200. I don't have all of them now, as I gave some to my daughter. Your room looks beautiful, I love the idea of 2 trees!!!!!
