A LITTLE PROGRESS AT THE FIXER UPPER

Looong ago, in the Spring, I showed you the fishing shack we "accidentally" bought.

We've finally made a little progress on our little renovation of this property. We added six feet onto the existing screened porch.

The floors were raised to the level of the existing house, and walls and windows were added to make this our family room.

An opening was cut into the kitchen of the existing house.

A couple of small bedrooms and a bath were added on the end of the house that faces the street.

The view from one of our windows. Our neighbors were having a party, so I avoided pointing my camera in their direction when I took a picture. That's why I'm only sharing the view from one of the windows.

Slowly, we are making some progress, but it may be a long time before we progress enough to share any more images.
As I said before, I reeeealy need Chip and Joanna.
Thank you for stopping by the lake with me.

Oh how fun to have a place on the river to go to and relax. It's looking really good.

Hope your doing good Laurie - have a great rest of the week.

Wow, Laurie! You're off to a wonderful start! I love that you extended the porch. You are never going to regret your decision to start this project. Your grands will make make some wonderful memories once it's completed. Just keep that picture in your mind as you continue to make progress. I can't wait to see the next "reveal"!!

Suppose we could have a readers' retreat there when y'all finish? Or perhaps we could go with you and help make some progress
