With just a few changes, I've brightened some of my vignettes for Summer. This table is next to the fireplace in our family room.
Faux white flowers brightened the look of my French jug. Did you see the little bunnies peeking over the edge? They've been there since Easter, and I'm thinking they might stay until Fall.
The Cottage of Content poem reminds me of Summer. "As I was wandering o'er the green, Not knowing where I went, By chance I saw a pleasant scene, The cottage of Content". Wandering oer the green sounds like a nice Summer activity, but finding the cottage of content would be lovely any time of the year. The plate was a gift from my friend, Susie.
A pottery tray featuring a blooming Iris says Summer for me.
Faux flowers in a little creamer depicting a bird give another nod to Summer days.
This table is on the other side of the fireplace.
This vignette began with a floral themed table topper, a gift from my sister Julie.
I'm not going to pretend this lamp doesn't reside here all the time. It does, but it's nice that the floral cutwork compliments the Summer décor. This lamp belonged to my mother.
A drawing of a child with a butterfly also adds to the Summertime feel. I bought this drawing at a charity auction years ago.
During hot Summer days, I seem to see dogs everywhere. Some are sunbathing and others just rest in the shade of a tree. The heat makes most of them lose the energy to bark when I walk by. So, I filled a tray with dog figures for my Summer décor.
You probably already noticed my dog who was having a bad hair day. I filled this pitcher with faux white flowers to give him his bad hairdo give him a Summer look.
I'm glad you came to visit.

Love it, and I like the little bunnies. Glad they are staying.
Cute ideas with the dogs and bunnies. I also like the drawing. Reminds me of younger days of chasing butterflies.
That french jug is fabulous! Love the little bunnies too. Everything looks beautiful!
