This year, our Thanksgiving fireplace décor reminds us there is always a reason to give thanks.
Faux leaves and pumpkins decorate each end of the hearth.
I've had this Hydrangea swag for a long time, and it's starting to show its age. So, instead of hanging it, I laid it across the mantel and filled bare spots with Hydrangeas I had dried.
Each lamp on the mantel is decorated with a gold, glittered leaf ornament.
The metal sign was a gift from a friend last year.
Years ago, I bought this pilgrim couple when they were marked down at Hobby Lobby.
The pilgrim couple's children have gone into the shed to give thanks. These were part of a floral arrangement my sister and I sent our mother one year.
I wound a battery-powered string of tiny lights through the Hydrangeas. My daughter gave me the banner for a long-ago birthday.
In everything, give thanks. A good message for not only Thanksgiving, but for every day.
Today, I'm giving thanks for you who stop by to visit my little place in this big internet world.

Just perfect. You have a gift for knowing how to place things. I have a precious friend who moved to Texas who can work miracles with a roll of duct tape, a piece of string and a bare branch. She also has that gift of perfect placement. I can truly appreciate AND envy that gift.
Hi Laurie, your mantel is beautiful. I love the banner and all the special touches. You always inspire with your vignettes and decorating. Wishing you a great month of November.xo
Always fun to see your holiday decor. I put out a few turkeys on the back entrance and have my velvet and needlepoint pumpkins out and about. That's about it! Happy Fall.
Your mantel is lovely. I don't decorate for fall other than a few pumpkins...Christmas is my decorating time...and I have cut waaay back on that, too. :)
