DINING BY THE POOL

Alfresco Dinner Table

My husband was grilling pork chops, so I set up a table by the pool.

Vintage Tablecloth

When I saw this tablecloth at an estate sale, I HAD to buy it, since I'm the self-appointed savior of lovingly stitched needlework.

Pink and Blue Tablescape

Our place settings started with white metal, lacy edged chargers.

Pier 1, Audrey Salad Plate

It's probably been ten years since I found these salad plates (Audrey) on sale at Pier 1.

Blue and Pink Dinner Plate

A flea market was my source for the dinner plates (Country French Ironstone).

Alfresco Dining by the Pol

I've had the napkins and napkin rings too long to remember where I bought them, but I'm sure they were on sale (because I never buy anything that isn't on sale).

Towle Old Master Silverware

Towle Old Master was our silver choice for our wedding.

Decorative Handle Steak Knife

The steak knives were from a long-ago estate sale (Aynsley).

Stemware Blue Mixed with Pink

I found the blue water goblets at an antique store and the pink plastic wine stems were at an estate sale.

Bread Basket

The metal bread basket belonged to my mother.

Cobalt Blue Salt and Pepper

Cobalt blue salt and pepper shakers, covered in silver filigree were also an estate sale find.

Salad dressing served on a vintage Homer Laughlin platter

A Homer Laughlin platter from an estate sale holds ramekins for salad dressing.

Colored Glass Lantern as Centerpiece

A colored glass lantern looks pretty in the day time, but when the sun sets, and the candle is lit, it's beautiful. Flanking the lantern are cobalt blue juice glasses I got at an estate sale.

Blue, Pink, and White Hydrangeas

I cut a blue, pink, and white Hydrangea to put in each juice glass.

Floral Alfresco Tablescape

I'm glad you came by to check out our alfresco dining. I thank each of you who left lovely comments about my health on my previous post, and I am so appreciative of your prayers as I face this blip in my life.

Laurie, Such a lovely table, and the pool makes such a pretty backdrop. I love old stitched linens too and this one is gorgeous. The ironstone is such a pretty pattern and I love how you pulled everything together with color and patterns. I'm sure your husband enjoyed this pretty table for dining.
Keeping you in my prayers sweet friend……...
