CHRISTMAS IN THE BREAKFAST NOOK

Breakfast Nook Christmas-Bargain Decorating with Laurie

Our breakfast nook is ready for Christmas.

I've used a mixture of china patterns on this table. I started with these Traditions, Holiday Collection by Christopher Radko bowls. This is one of my very favorite patterns, but it is also very expensive.

I have a dinner plate that was a gift from a friend (filled with cookies) one Christmas. I was so excited when I found four of these bowls in an antique mall a couple of years ago.

Surprisingly, in another booth in the same antique mall, I found these dinner plates (Traditions, Holiday Celebration by Christopher Radko). I bought the plaid chargers at Michaels this year. They were already on sale!

For the Christmas season, we use wine stems for our orange juice. I've picked up two sets of these stems at estate sales. Our coffee cups are Nikko Classic Collection from the set that my mother gifted us years and years ago.

These cute placemats belonged to my mother. I inserted a fork, a spoon, and a grapefruit spoon into the stocking.

I decorated the little metal drawer set that lives on this table all year.

Our daughter gifted me with this cute Santa's Railarod Station cookie jar one Christmas. The Santa on the chimney serves salt, and the chimney serves pepper.

Sugar, creamer, and tray are also from my Nikko set.

I added a few special Christmas cards and a couple of Christmas plates to the shelves.

An every-morning-reminder of the way we should live.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy Christmas season schedule to visit me.

Beautiful and oh so charming. Your decorating is so happy and pleasing for the Christmas season. You are very talented. I love the stockings for the flatware. Where did you get them? Merry Christmas.

What a perfect spot to have a bite to eat. I love Christopher Radko. I used to have a collection of his ornaments, but unfortunately had to leave them behind in my divorce.

As always, your home is just the perfect holiday place. I was severely hindered as we began a kitchen remodel at the end of August. The county inspector makes his final visit Monday morning. Oh, I meant to tell you how much I loved your cookie jar. I have gone out and purchased cheap cookie jars and filled them with homemade cookies that seem to be much appreciated gifts.
