PLAYING WITH VIGNETTES

VIGNETTE 1

I was creating a little Springtime vignette on a table in the sun room when I realized that I never grew up. I still like to play with miniatures. This picture made me think of gardening.

VIGNETTE 1a

So, I filled a little wheelbarrow with flowers and left the gardener's tools by the tree.

VIGNETTE 2

Then I gave myself a little tour of other vignettes I had created in the house and decided that I might need to get a doll house. I love re-creating something in a vignette.

VIGNETTE 3

This needlepoint of women picking crops is on a table in the family room.

VIGNETTE 4

The French Santons look like they might have stepped out of the picture.

VIGNETTE 5

A still life of fruit in a bowl is recreated with faux fruit in a bowl.
VIGNETTE 6

When I shared my Spring mantel, you may have noticed that the little salt and pepper figures look like they stepped out of one of the plates.

VIGNETTE 7

The boy and girl, feeding the geese look like they are part of the farm scene on the plate behind them.

VIGNETTE 8

The Eiffel Tower is the focus on this table.

VIGNETTE 9

Tiny French people complete the scene.

Maybe some day, I'll grow up, but at my age, I'm afraid it's doubtful. Playing is just too much fun.

I'm so glad you stopped by.

This post is partying with Met Monday at Between Naps on the Porch, Something to Talk About at 2 Bees in a Pod,  Inspire Me Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life, Tweak it Tuesday at Cozy Little House, and You’re Gonna Love It Tuesday at Kathe with an E.

I agree playing is too much fun to stop doing it! I call it peddling when I move these from one spot to another but you are right it is playing !

I adore this! I love doing the same thing. It's so fun to take a picture and make a vignette as if something just kind of overflowed onto the tabletop. :) Would love a closer look at your feves collection under the dome. I recently discovered them--as a miniature collector, it is a dangerous discovery! I added Peter Rabbit and friends to my collection at Easter! :)
