FRIDAY FAVES 04/24/15

This chair makeover makes my heart beat faster!  I love everything about it.  Please go to the original image source to share or pin these images.

I love the look of this little bench with the painted fabric.  You should go see the before fabric.  What a difference!

Some of you may know that I battle an inner critic. I have always dreamed of being a writer, but my mean old inner critic tells me I can't write.  (Maybe he's right.)

Another painted chair project.  These vinyl chairs are spray painted!  They are such an improvement over the original pink vinyl.

My I.C. rears his ugly head every time I attempt anything. As you can tell, I have no self confidence, and that's why my I.C. is so easily able to convince me that I don't know what I'm doing.

quick and easy frameless mirror upgrade

A vintage frame added to a bathroom mirror in a rental!  What a great idea, and she was able to accomplish this without damaging anything that is permanent in the rental.

For a number of years, I've posted to another blog, "Battling My Inner Critic".  I started that blog in an attempt to keep my inner critic out of my head.

Marble Jar Knobs via homework - carolynshomework (2)

This is such a simple idea, and it makes such a huge difference.  A marble glued to the top of old makeup jars turns them into beautiful storage.

I think I've made a little progress in my struggle with my I.C.  The fact that I'm talking about him now is progress.  I've always loved the children's story, "I think I can".  I often feel like the little train in that book, repeating over-and-over, "I think I can, I think I can...."

Fresh-&-Easy-Orange-Tart

I want to try this Orange Tart recipe.  Just think of the Vitamin C we can get while also satisfying our sweet tooth.

I still have trouble with that I.C., and I constantly fight with him.  (You notice my I.C. is a "he".  It may be a little prejudiced of me, but I don't think a "she" could be so mean!)

Blood-Orange-Meringue-Pies-4-640x960[1]

Do you think I'm craving oranges?  These beautiful Blood Orange Meringue Pies made my mouth water.  Another must try recipe.

I often feel intimidated by the beauty and creativity found on other blogs.  I start wondering why the heck I even bother publishing a blog. "I think I can" is my mantra for blogging. Some day, I hope to be able to say, "I know I can"!   So, if there is something you want to do, but you feel that you can't, remember to think you can. It's working for me. Believing in yourself is the only way to win the battle.

Really, there are some geniuses out there in Blogland, and I love finding and sharing their projects with you.  I hope you found some inspiration in this week's Friday Faves.

Your tablescapes, decorations in your own home, and ideas you share from around blog land are fun and inspiring. As for me, I hope you keep up the good blogging!

I'm craving a meringue pie ~ blood orange, lemon, chocolate. I'd take a slice of any about right now.
