CELEBRATING SUNSHINE ON THE TABLE

Sunshine Tablescape

Was it really only two weeks ago that I celebrated the snow with a tablescape?  This weekend, the weather was so nice that we cooked burgers on the grill, so I set a table to celebrate the warm sunshine.

Sunshine Tablescape 1

I picked the brightest tablecloth that I have and began each place setting with woven rattan chargers.  Our dinner plates were Susan Williams-Ellis Botanic Garden.

Sunshine Tablescape 2

We used my pastel striped flatware.

Sunshine Tablescape 4

I secured bright yellow, flower-strewn napkins with butterfly napkin rings.

Sunshine Tablescape 3

It was time to bring out the bumble bee water stems and the flower-sprinkled wine stems.

Sunshine Tablescape 5

Last week, I bought a grocery store bouquet for my St. Patrick's table.  There was still enough life left in the flowers to stick them in painted clay pots for this table.  The flower pots are anchored with Pier 1 "Audrey" saucers.

Sunshine Tablescape 6

A flower-bordered platter on top of a lazy susan provided a place for the ramekins I used for condiments for the burgers.

Sunshine Tablescape 7

Pickles and onions were served from Pier 1 Audrey bowls.

Sunshine Tablescape 8

These great Sunflower salt and pepper were a giveaway prize I won last year from Candy at Plum Creek Place.

Sunshine Tablescape 9

As you can see, I will celebrate anything.  We've had snow and a lot of rain all month, so the sun and warmer temps really were a cause for celebration.  Thank you for coming to celebrate it with me.

This post is partying with the  Centerpiece Wednesday at The Style Sisters and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch

Laurie, My eyes are so happy to see a beautiful sunshine table. I love the yellow and white in the tablecloth and napkins and all of your table accents. I especially love the set of Pier 1 Audrey saucers and the Audrey bowls. I am loving the S&P's too, they look really good on your Sunshine table. Thank you for the good words.

Laurie- Once the sun and somewhat warm temps occur- it's a sign to me to start refreshing! I love your cheery table- the dinner plates and bowls are so cute. Hope all is well with you. I do enjoy seeing you on FB but I'm also trying to visit blogs more often, as well. :-) Sue

A very pretty way to welcome Spring!
A burger or a hot dog cooked outside on a grill sounds good right now.
Hope we have seen the last of the bitter cold and frozen stuff this year.
Enjoy your evening.

Beautiful, as usual, and welcome today here in NE Kansas where we are having some much-needed rain.

YAY, sunshine! We've been celebrating its arrival at our house, too. What a fun and festive tablescape. Like you, I rarely need a "reason" to celebrate... :-)

That's a bright and cheery table! My Mom is a big fan of yellow, and if she saw this she would get very excited. Yellow is dribbling into my life in bit's and bits...I'm learning to love it.
