EASTER DESSERT TABLE

Easter Table 1

Is your Easter basket as big as mine?   I’ve mentioned before that we normally host about 30 family members for Easter dinner.  I’ve recently mentioned that my sweetheart is running for public office in a six county election.  The election is in May, so we are currently living and breathing “campaign”!

Easter Table

We are so disappointed that we’ve had to give up hosting Easter dinner for 30 this year, but we didn’t think that me being committed to an insane asylum would be very good publicity for his race.

Easter Table

We will be hosting our son and his family and our daughter and her family for Easter dinner, so I have arranged the table in the study for desserts.

Easter Table

Egg-delivering bunnies encircle my Easter basket on the table.

We’ll use “Bunny Toile” plates by J. Willfred.

Easter Table

My sister-in-law, Diane, made this adorable ceramic bunny in a cabbage tureen for me.  I’ll serve banana pudding in it.

Easter Table

We’ll use these vintage “Glasbake” cups for our banana pudding.  I bought these at an estate sale years ago, and I love using them as bowls, especially for Easter, since the colors remind me of dyed Easter eggs.

Easter Table

A cracker server is filled with spoons for the pudding.

Easter Table

Cookies will fill this ceramic plate, which was also made by my talented sister-in-law, Diane.

Easter Table

Forks for cake eating.  (At the rate I’m going, we may only have dessert for Easter dinner!)

Maybe the Easter bunny will fill my huge basket with chocolate!

If the Easter bunny fills that big basket with chocolate I am afraid you will be on a sugar buzz for a long time. Oh my! The desert table looks wonderful. Banana pudding served up in the bunny cabbage tureen sounds marvelous. I love the bunny plates on display in the china cabinet behind the desert buffet - they are perfect for the holiday.

Hi Laurie,
Your family will be in for a treat with your dessert table set with goodies. I just love those toile bunny plates, the tureen is gorgeous and those dyed egg colored cups are darling. All your pretties make up a pretty spot to serve the treats.

Hope all goes well for your hubby and he wins the race. Best wishes for a special Easter!!
Blessings!!

I love this table almost as much as I love your attitude! I think the fact that you still get to do the "Laurie" thing by switching to a dessert table is wonderful. Love the idea of using the tureen and cups for the pudding too. That's the kind of whimsy that is right up my alley.

My very favorite thing on the table? That utensil holder.

And here's hoping that he WINS the election!! Any man smart enough to choose you for a wife would get my vote. I'm sure of it.

Such sweet Easter decor - I love that green bunny.

We will be away for Easter, but I am finishing up Easter baskets for everyone today.

Good luck to your husband in the election. I am sure you are wishing it over.

What could be better than a dessert buffet full of bunnies for Easter! I'm glad you won't be overwhelmed with guests for once, sometimes you just need a breather!
It all looks adorable!
