Mardi Gras is filled with so many bright colors. So, my Mardi Gras table is filled with color. No two place settings are identical.
I used four different colors of square salad plates (Classic Coffee and Tea). I also used different colored flatware.
I used dinner plates with three different colors of borders (Snowflake by Noble Excellence) (dark blue, dark green, and light purple). You may remember that my husband found a huge sale on these plates, and brought a LOT of them home for me after Christmas.
Under the dinner plate, I placed a cobalt blue glass charger. These are probably supposed to be large dinner plates. I bought them at a Kitchen Outlet store about 15 years ago.
The second charger is a clear glass, gold beaded charger (Charge It by Jay), which I also ordered from One Kings Lane (or maybe it was Joss and Main).
The square salad plates are all on blue bordered plates. I have six of these square plates, but the colors of two of them were too pastel for this table.
In the remaining four place settings, I used four hot air balloon plates as salad plates(Montgolfier by Home James). No, I don’t think that there are hot air balloons at a Mardi Gras celebration, but these colorful plates and the whimsy of these plates give me the feeling of Mardi Gras. Each plate has different hot air balloon on it, and I have no idea why I only took a picture of three of the plates.
I have six of these wine stems. The pattern makes me think of streamers and also of the architecture of New Orleans. The water goblets are four different jewel colors (gold, green, blue, and purple). I bought them from Tuesday Morning years ago.
Napkins are secured with Mardi Gras beads, which we wore around our necks during dinner.
The costumes of the people on these napkins reminded me of what might be worn on a Mardi Gras float.
Since I only have six of the patterned napkins, I used these coral colored beaded edge napkins on each end of the table.
Mardi Gras beads fill a glass cylinder, and a “Nawlins” umbrella stands up in the middle of the cylinder.
Bright masks add even more colors and more Mardi Gras spirit to the table.
And candles brighten the table. I used a beaded napkin ring at the base of each of the pillar candles.
I bought these crown candle holders for a Princess party for one of my granddaughters, but I decided that they could also be used on our Mardi Gras table.
A sequined jacket, which I wore on New Year’s Eve years ago, anchors the centerpiece. When it comes to setting the table, nothing is off limits at my house!
I know this post is already too long. I apologize, especially to our Northern friends, but I just have to share a couple of pictures of what is going on at my house.
Y’all, it is March! This is Arkansas. This is not how March in Arkansas normally looks. Most of that is ice, not snow. Again, I am just so grateful that we still have electricity. I didn’t have internet service for awhile, so I hope it will stay on long enough for me to get this post published.
My grands are grateful that they are out of school because of the weather.
Next week, on the 12th, we’ll be doing the St. Patrick’s Blog Crawl at Cuisine Kathleen’s. Kathleen’s party is always so much fun! Thank you for visiting my blog. laurie
This post is partying at Let’s Dish Wednesday at Cuisine Kathleen, Centerpiece Wednesday at The Style Sisters, and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

Laurie, your color explosion is perfect for Fat Tuesday. I especially like the gold beaded chargers. They really make a statement. Very regal! I've never been to Mardi Gras, but your table makes me feel like I've been to one of the best Mardi Gras celebrations.
No snow here, but it sure has been cold. '-)
Stay warm, my friend.
Your table is just a glorious explosion of color and fun Laurie!
Our snow is still coming and it's so deep I can't imagine it ever leaving this year.
And the cold has been totally mind numbing.
Its why I haven't blogged lately, I am trying to stay warm. lol.
Hugs friend,
Cindy
Hi Laurie, This scene of your house is how it was here last Sunday when we were covered in a sheet of ice. Looked like sn ow but was white ice. Love your home pic.
Gorgeous Mardi Gras table and setting. Each event is always so much fun at your house. I love how you used the colors of Mardi Gras in your accessories.
The umbrella in the center is fabulous.
You are so talented my friend.
Have a great Wednesday!!
Hugs
What a great colorful table for Mardi Gras! Love those beaded glass chargers- they add some glam and go with a lot! The centerpiece is totally fun and really adds to the party atmosphere! Sorry but I'm glad to see others dealing with winter too since I'm buried under here!! Stay warm and I hope your internet stays strong!
Laurie, I think it was pure genius of you to use an old sequinned jacket on your table! You are so creative and I love the umbrella as part of the centerpiece, too! Such a fun table!
Mardi Gras tables are so fun! Stay warm.

Very festive and definitely says "party time"! You did good!
I am like you - this is not what March should be like.:/ I also am so thankful I still have electricity and heat.
Laurie, I love your tablescape. The colors are great and so many beautiful things to look at.
Once again, I adore this table setting, what a way to celebrate Mardi Gras! I was curious about those chargers, simply lovely as are those plates. Yes you have snow now but yours will surely melt very soon, I hope we get to see spring by May the way things are going...too much white. And this was the winter we could not get south...so here we wait in white.
Oh how I wanted to do a mardi gras table! I have been wanting to do one for a few years now, and this year I REALLY wanted to.
I got distracted.
I love yours. The colors are fabulous, and it has that carnival look to it. Excellent as usual!
(And this Georgia girl loves your snow shots. We don't have the white stuff, but we do have the cold. What's up with that? It's March!)
Laurie, we can always count on you for a fun and wonderful tablescape!
Love it!
