HOME TOUR

I’ve got a treat for you today.  I went to visit my life-long friend, Susie, this weekend.  Several other of our high school classmates went as well.  We refer to Susie as our “Party in a Box”, because anywhere she goes, she can create an instant party atmosphere.  So, you can imagine that a party at her home would be an over-the-top celebration.

mantel btr

She celebrated our high school graduating class with a banner hung from the mantel.  Look at her beautiful box collection on top of the mantel.

Sideboard and cabinet vignettes

Since we live in Arkansas, and there was an Arkansas Razorback game this weekend, she mixed our high school décor with Razorback décor.  Sadly, it didn’t help our Razorbacks win, but it did put everyone in a celebratory mood.  Susie creates such fun vignettes.

Don’t you love that cabinet on top of the sideboard?

Fall decor

Her Fall décor looked beautiful too.  She makes those gorgeous velvet pumpkins.  She had already gifted me with some of them, which I showed you in a previous post, but I came home with a couple more of these beauties.  She’s not only talented, she’s generous.

She even decorated a window to hang between the entry and the living room.

This adorable Arkansas Razorback fan greeted us at the door.

Every table and every surface in her beautiful home screamed “par-tay”!

Party Table

Even if you weren’t a Razorback fan, her décor would make you want to cheer for the Hogs.

Screened Porch

She just added this wonderful screened porch to her home.  Since she’s always throwing a party, it has been dubbed the “party porch”.  See that great burlap, chevron-patterned tablecloth?  That’s  a curtain she bought on sale at Hobby Lobby.

vintage-look house numbers

Even though the screened porch is on the back of the house, she used these wonderful vintage-looking numbers to put her house number over the door.

Shutter decor

Love the shutter and the cow chart she used on the brick wall in her screened porch.

Cow picture platter

I tried to sneak out with this platter, but she caught me.

I hope you enjoyed this party as much as I did.  laurie

I’m partying at Inspire Me Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life, The Scoop at Confessions of a Plate Addict, Homework Wednesday at Worthing CourtOpen House Thursday at No Minimalist Here, and Feathered Nest Friday at French Country Cottage.

Oh, yes, that platter is a gem! And the pretty green cabinet. Gosh, I have got to find some party friends!

Laurie, baby Rachael is 80 days old now, 5 lbs and out of incubator, no feeding tubes! Our daughter-in-law went to a baby shower for her Sunday. Another miracle! Thank you so much for the prayers.

I know it must have been a great weekend. My brother was a real trooper. I understand he hung out some with the "Blytheville Girls."
