FALL TWEAKING

It is not officially Fall yet, and I’m already tweaking the Fall décor!

I previously showed you the buffet in the sunroom with the start of Fall decorating.  I’m not going to tell you that the Fall decorating on this buffet is finished, because I am an obsessive tweaker.  I’m just going to say that it has been changed.

I added a painted glass pear and an apple.

Faux clove-studded oranges peak out from the serving dish.

A beautifully painted pumpkin tag (made by Karen Harvey Cox at A Scrapbook of Inspiration) hangs on the plate holder.

Faux crabapples fill the creamer, and a pumpkin is added to one side.

A faux dried hydrangea swag hangs from the buffet.

A couple of leaf-shaped plates were added to the shelves above the buffet, along with some glittered pumpkins.

Since we don’t have a dining room in our house, buffets tend to appear everywhere.  When I shared the Fall décor on the buffet behind the sofa in our family room, I couldn’t find my beautiful velvet pumpkins and acorns made by my friend, Susie.

Yippee!  I found them,

and I’ve added them to the buffet.

I am not going to tweak any Fall décor until Fall officially arrives (I’m almost sure)!  Thank you for stopping by to see me today.  laurie

Oh I love your fall decor, so pretty and definitely all of my favorite colors. The garland is stunning, and I love that pear and apple. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty

I love all of your fall decor but there is something about what you've done to that amazing blue buffet that makes my heart melt. I think that wonderful china pattern is my favorite of anything you have, although I reserve the right to say that about something else sooner or later. And the glass apple and pear are works of art. I'm going to print out your blue buffet picture, even if it does use up my low supply of blue ink! I want to hang it up just to inspire me.

I haven't really begun to put fall things out, but I'm thinking about it. May go pick up some white pumpkins later today. '-)
Thanks for the inspiration. Your fall tweaking looks like fun.

Tweaking is a favorite pastime of mine! Just thinking about it is fun.
I've thought of you all summer...I keep 2 mason jars of zinnias...one on each side of the kitchen sink, and it reminds me of your Christmas trees flanking your mantel!

Enjoyed seeing your Fall vignettes. No Fall decor around here as of yet.
Hope you enjoyed the weekend.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love to decorate for fall in the biggest way. Fall is just "homey" to me. Since your decorating style is very warm and homey IMO, your home and autumn makes a perfect match.

Laurie, Your home is lovely. So much personality. The fall colors certainly do suit your decor, so warm and inviting. I totally adore the shelf above the buffet What a great piece to have to work with for seasonal decor. I'm just lovin'it!
