In Blogville, the seasons change early, so I’ve brought out a little bit of Fall color for the buffet in our sunroom.
I’ve used my breakfast set, which my sweetheart gave to me for Christmas one year (“Hampton Ivory”, Swinnertons England). The colors in the set remind me of Fall.
The travellers look like they might be dressed for Fall weather. I love the details on this set.
See the little luggage and hat box on the border of the plate?
The backs of the cups, sugar and creamer, and beverage servers feature flowers, which travelers in the coach might see on the side of the road.
The plate in the center is not part of the set. When I saw it at an estate sale, I thought it would coordinate well with the breakfast set, and I loved the plaid ribbon on it. I paid $5.00 for this plate. (“Ye Olde Innes”, Royal Hampton)
In case some of you very observant blog readers noticed (y’all amaze me) ~ yes, I did re-arrange our sunroom. I’ll share that soon.
The temperatures here in Arkansas have been very mild lately, but I’m sure we will have summer temps again before Fall actually arrives. How about you? Have you begun decorating for Fall?
Thank you for stopping in to visit me. laurie

Laurie, your dishes are so pretty; and perfect for transitioning into fall. I haven't started my fall decor yet; but, the ideas are swirling in my head.
I'm pinning a lot of fall ideas, but our summer flowers are putting on an extra show right now and I just hate to change early!
I love this charming tea set, what a great eye your hubby has!!! Not bringing in Fall yet, we are having summer weather now so will wait till Sept., but am making plans!!!
The breakfast set is beautiful ... the blue buffet, toile upholstered chair next to it ~~ awesome.
You aren't the first blogger to mention fall this morning. It really is true that seasons come early in blogdom. Love this set. Makes me want to sit down and watch Cranford...
Love the dishes and your blue hutch. Can't wait to see the changes in your sunroom such a beautiful room.
Sandy
I love that sweet china! I get lost in picture plates. Your pieces look wonderful with all your blues!
Love those sweet dishes, they remind me of my hubby's Dept. 56 pieces. I love how you have them displayed too. XO, Pinky
Laurie, your set of dishes is charming. Love the touch of tartan with the bow. All the blue details look fresh. The heat has returned today, but still our summer is much milder than recent previous summers.
When school starts I always start thinking about fall. I will get started soon. Your decor is beautiful! My husband travels to Arkansas and works at the Arvest banks :)
I love the details on those dishes!
I haven't been decorating for fall, but for the first time I have allowed myself to at least plot, plan, and craft for it a little earlier.
I love the gorgeous dishes for your transition to fall! Your hutch and buffet setting is awesome! I also have a fall table. Have a great week and happy Inspire Me Tues.

You always give me good ideas, Laurie. Just adding some browns to those beautiful blues does hint that autumn is coming. I love dishes that tell a story as your set does. Now I'll have to look around and see if I can come up with something a little bit like fall, without breaking out the pumpkins yet!
Love your dishes but BITE YOUR TONGUE!!! Do not mention that four-letter word until September 1st.
Please!
From those of us who have only 2 months of summer...
Hi Laurie! I love your sweet sweet dishes. The entire area with the blue cabinet and the shelf are just gorgeous.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh Laurie,
What a beautiful blue piece of furniture! Did you do that? And the china, just gorgeous!
It's funny because it's usually the Southern bloggers who want Autumn decor first. Us Northerner's just hang onto to summer with all our might. On Saturday, I saw a few leaves that had begun to turn colors. Yikes..not yet but now we have a bit more summer with highs in the low 90's for the rest of the week. Anyway, you have amazing talents when it comes to decorating!
Hugs,
Cindy
A woman after my own heart...love that shade of blue on the buffet. It is a perfect backdrop for your dishes including the Hampton Ivory pieces. The scenes are just wonderful and do, indeed, remind us of fall weather.
Here in north Texas we have had some cooler days...one day it was only 79 at 1:00 p.m., but today the temperatures were back to 98. But, we will take 98 over the normal 100+ degrees for August.
Fall will not arrive here until late October, maybe November. I won't be doing any fall decor until then. We still have LOTS of summer and hot weather to come.

P.S. I just became your latest GFC follower.

Oh this is so beautiufl Laurie, you always create the best vignettes. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
Back again, Laurie, just to say thank you. There is such comfort in knowing that you have felt the things I have, struggle with some of the same insecurities (do we dare admit that in Blogville?). And we recognize and appreciate some of the same good aspects of blogging--mainly the joy of blog friends.
Thank you, Laurie.
P.S. I know this has been a personal comment but since I can't reply to your comment I had to find some way of telling you.
Hi Laurie,
Another lovely vignette- do you like, do this in the middle of the night when the rest of us mortals are asleep? LOVE the plates, especially with the plaid, and the blue is so gorgeous!! A splendid post, my friend!

Love your breakfast set. They are such fun! I'm especially fond of the muffin dishes! Love your arrangement on the buffet!
You're right, seasons change early in blogland. Normally I'm ready to move on, but that's not the case with summer. I'm still hanging on for a couple more weeks.
The fall dishes on your buffet are gorgeous. Love the scenes on them.

I am absolutely not ready for fall and since I don't work at Michael's, I don't have to be! I do love your dishes, though, especially the plate with the tartan ribbon. Lovely!
I love your tiny touch of fall. Not to much! Not decorating yet, but recently did a side table vignette that had muted hues of fall. Beautiful plates!!
I'm new to your blog and love the paint colors of the blue buffet and also your kitchen cabinets. I couldn't find the colors listed anywhere - will you share the names.
When I asked my husband to get out the fall storage boxes he declared "It's the first of August!" to which I replied "I need time to prepare and inventory what I have" He just shook his head. . . he is so patient with me, bless his heart. I got your comment on the farmers market & entered you in the giveaway -I'm not drawing till next week on that one. Thanks!
Love the Hampton Ivory plates, what a beautiful setting. Did you paint the buffet? What shade of blue is it? I want one too. I think I have a case of buffet envy.
I guess it is time to start the fall decor. Your dishes from hubby are gorgeous, love the detail. They look so pretty on your pretty buffet.
Patti
