SHELF DISPLAY/STORAGE-PART 2

Last week, I shared my storage on one side of my shelf unit, and nobody told me that had a nervous breakdown seeing all of that stuff on my shelves.  So, I’ll take that to mean it’s okay to share the second half of the shelf unit this week!
DEMIJOHNS

When you’ve been blogging for almost four years, you kind of forget that not everyone who visits your blog was reading your blog when you began blogging. (We’re not going to talk about that I can’t remember what I was doing 30 minutes ago either.) Last week, a reader asked me if I had fabric or paper on the back wall of my shelves.  My post about the fabric-backed shelves was about my third post evah!
QUIMPER
I draped fabric over tension rods, so that I could easily change the backing if I tired of it.  Of course, that was in 2008, and I still have the same fabric in the backs of the shelves, so I probably could have super glued it!
GIRL-BOY BSKTS
I always think my blog is just standing still until I go back and look at one of those first posts.  I haven’t learned much, but it is apparent that I’ve learned a little bit.  Looking at those early posts makes me cringe a little (ok, a lot!).
DOG PITCHR
COTTAGE PICS
AUSTIN
BOOK MONO
CLOCHE
ROOSTER JAR
DIV BOWL
I spared you closeups of the family photos, but I do want to share one of them.  11 years ago, our daughter married a fireman.  They traveled from the church to the reception in a fire truck.  It was so much fun!

I am partying at A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday.  Thanks for coming to see the rest of the shelves.  Next up, St. Patrick’s Blog Crawl at Cuisine Kathleen.  laurie

Hi Laurie, I enjoyed the second part of your display post on shelf display. I see we enjoy some of the same collectables. I love your little red and cream pitcher. I have a platter like it in blue. Beautiful vignettes and I love, love, love the fabric you use. Gorgeous shelving! Sweet wedding photo of your daughter. Thanks for sharing.

I always love getting a closer look at your shelves and all of the pretties tucked in each space! I forget that I have new readers sometimes, too. A comment I get pretty often is...have fun on your vacation in Florida! haha! I LIVE here! lol Enjoy your week! Sweet hugs!

Laurie, I love getting an up close look at your shelves. That way I can study each vignette. Do I spy a Quimper saint in photo #3? If so, which one is it and what is the mark? Also in photo #6 that looks to be the town of Quimper in the plate. Tell me about that one.
Then we have that fun dog pitcher and picture in #5. Then in #10 I spy a wonderful piece of Brown Quail Furnvials. Love, love, love that pattern. Is that the coffee or chocolate pot?
The wedding photo is the best. What a cute idea to have a fire truck take you to your wedding reception. Now that's unique!
Can you tell I like this post? Thanks for sharing.

Laurie, I loved getting an up close look at your beautiful objects. You have such an attention to detail and a way of putting things together that makes sense, not a talent to sneeze at!

I think that firetruck is so romantic. I'd rather have seen the couple drive away in that than in a Rolls.

Your displays are just amazing Laurie!
I love that fabric too, perfect choice there.
So many pretties and you know I love seeing family photos.
The one you shared it just wonderful!
And I remember some of your earlier blog posts and they were wonderful.
You drew me in that is for sure.
Hugs friend,
Cindy
I can't wait to hear that your little grandson is going home. I know it's been a scary time. But someday he will be a strong grown up boy, and you will be amazed.
Hugs dear,
Cindy

This is a great looking display - LOVE that you used fabric to back the shelves. It makes things really pop and it is quite beautiful! Hope you can stop by the enchanted oven.

SO much storage!
You have the most INTERESTING stuff, ever. I love the red fabric. I think letting it hang around that long means you must really like it too.
