THE COWBOY RIDES AGAIN!

Those of you who have read my blog for a long time know that my sweetheart loves cowboys.  I know that he has watched almost every Western ever made~and he’s watched a lot of them more than once.  (Of course, If he walks in while I’m watching a movie on Lifetime, he always  asks, “Didn’t you just watch this a month ago?)  So, his birthday is usually celebrated with a cowboy themed dinner.  This past weekend, my cowboy rode into another year.

The red cowboy plate and the green cowboy plate:  Sky Ranch, Santa Fe.  (I purchased them in a junk store, after going through a stack of 300 restaurant plates!)
The black and white cowboy plates:  PTS International, Slice of Life (purchased at Tuesday Morning a few years ago.)
I bought the cowboy boot shot glasses, used at each place setting, on a trip to Austin about five years ago.
The cowboy decanters were a gift from my sister to my sweetheart years ago.  A friend made the canteen, and the rocking cowboy was a gift from my mother to my sweetheart about 15 years ago.  My friend, Charlie Ann, gave me the cute salt and pepper shakers.
I am joining Let’s Dish Wednesday at Cuisine Kathleen and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.
So round ‘em up, move ‘em out, pardner.  Let’s git on over to see more dishes at these here other blogs.  Yessiree, I’m for certain glad you stopped in to see this here little blog.  (I’ve had to watch a lot of Westerns with my sweetheart.)  laurie

Happy Birthday to your cowboy! You have some real treasures to set his B.Day dinner table. Watched many cowboy movies at the Saturday Matinees when growing up.
Enjoy your evening.

Yeehaw! Terrific, Laurie! What is it with men and westerns? Weird! But you sure have been paying attention because you put a lot of detail into this fun table! I LOVE the use of the stuff that looks like prairie grasses! That is a great idea!!! That canteen is really cool, too! Happy Belated to your Podner!

The things we do for love! I actually love me a good Western upon occasion. It brings back fond memories of Saturdays mornings growing up in a small town when we all got to go to the local theatre for a double feature. They were mostly Westerns, and we didn't care if we saw them again and again!

I might have to start a collection.

I am jealous of every single piece. I would never have thought of a cowboy table like this and every detail is perfection. How fun that you celebrate his birthday in such style - his style!

Totally different and so very fun! I loved the cowboy plates best of all. I think I need to learn to dig through piles of plates at junk stores. You never know what you'll find.

And I really love that Roy Rogers lunch box. What a treasure!
