THE PILGRIMS MEET THE INDIANS

Just last week, there were ghosts, witches, rats, and pumpkins on this sideboard in our sunroom, and I showed them to you here.  Today, on the sideboard, the Indians and the Pilgrims are meeting for Thanksgiving dinner.  The sideboard in my sunroom is a busy place.

The turkey is trying to interpret their communications, because he wants to make sure he can wobble away fast enough if they decide it’s going to be a turkey dinner.

On one end of the sideboard, a loan Indian and a loan pilgrim have climbed into the tool box my husband made for me, which I posted about here.

Miss Pilgrim and Mr. Indian look a little worried about their meeting, and I suspect they are keeping a lot of turkeys between the two of them just in case the meeting doesn’t go well.

A pumpkin and a squirrel stand by, in case someone asks for salt or pepper.

This turkey looks happy, and he’s wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving.  He must already know he has escaped being cooked for Thanksgiving dinner.

I am linking this historic meeting on my sideboard to Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life.  I’m so glad you stopped by to witness history being made on my sideboard.  laurie

Laurie, you always have the perfect things to celebrate the holidays. Reading this post inspired me to get my box of turkey things down from the attic and set up a vignette. ;-)
