WHAT SEASON IS IT?

I think I’m confused.  I’ve nevah started putting out Fall décor this early in September!  I don’t know if it’s because I’m ready for cooler temperatures OR or that the older I get, the slower I move, and I’m concerned that I won’t get it out before Fall is over.  In any event, as always, I began with my mantel, so, ready or not, I’m posting my Fall mantel décor today.

I hope my plates on the mantel are okay for Cuisine Kathleen’s Let’s Dish link up, and I'm linking to Censational Girl's Fall Mantel Party.  I am not positive about the maker of the brown leaf-bordered plates, but with the help of a magnifying glass, it appears to read “The Mane Lion-Made in Italy”.  I think I purchased them on One Kings Lane.  My home-made leaf placemats provide the background for our
Fall mantel. Thank you for visiting my blog.  laurie

I love it!! Those plates are amazing, I need some of them I am sure!
And I love that banner and of course your lanterns, they are the perfect shade for Autumn.
You always do the best Mantels Laurie, you could write a mantel book!

Laurie it's gorgeous. I got a few fall things out today. I'm going to be gone so much of October I thought I better get some fall out before I leave home.

Another wonderful mantel- love the way you used your placemats for the background! Never would have thought of that. Those leaf dishes are so pretty too!

I think we are all ready for fall this year Laurie with the hot temperatures of this summer. I haven't started in the house but am pulling out stuff to fall up the shop!

I have some cute leaf plates and pretty things for fall, I don't seem to decorate to much for it these days though because I am becoming less and less in love with things I have to dust and clutter, but I love looking at it on other peoples sites so gorgeous! Love Love Love I especially love the birdhouse idea that is sweet! you know I love birds if you know me. Big hugs

What a beautiful mantle. You are inspiring me to do something to my own mantle now that fall is upon us (hopefully sooner rather than later).
