INSPIRED BY THE LETTER “B”!

blackout When I took the Easter décor off my mantel, I had Birds, Butterflies, Blooms, and Bows on the Brain!  (And you thought I didn’t have a brain!  Yeah, declaring, in writing, that I have a brain is  probably stretching again!)  I didn’t really have blackouts on the brain, but we had one shortly after I got all of these b’s cluttering our mantel (due to the bad weather), so I lit the candles for a little blackout ambiance!

You can blame this post on Debby at Just Breathe.  I was so sure that everybody in Blogville was sick of seeing me change the scenery on my mantel.  Then, in a comment on my last post, Debby made the mistake of asking me what is on my mantel now that Easter is over.  Debby, you may be the only person who cares, so this post is for you!
It was so kind of you to come by for a visit.  Thanks! laurie

Hellllo Mo! This is such a wonderful "Laurie" post. It has all the inspiration that I love to find when I visit here.

The birds are my very favorite. I love those eggs. I have a little collection of bird things in my powder room, and I was thinking about giving them an update.

Thanks, for so much eye candy and inspiration!

Love seeing what's on your mantle. Mine are a bit bare - I don't have enough non-holiday/seasonal stuff. (My husband would disagree!) Thanks for the post-Easter decorating inspirations!

Hi Laurie...

Ohhh..and the letter "B" also stands for BEAUTIFUL!!! My friend, your mantel is simply gorgeous decorated in all of those beautiful birds, butterflies, and bows!!! I love it! Of course, I always love how you decorate your mantel and I'm sooo glad that Debbie asked about it! I love your new plates with the sweet birds...sooo pretty! And...I love the two little eggs with the painted birds! They look so delicate! I think your silver champagne buckets look awesome with the pretty spring florals/branches! I used my champagne bucket on my mantel as well...love how it looks! Thank you sooo much for sharing your beautifully "decorated for spring" mantel with us today! You always inspire me, sweet friend!

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your power during the recent storms. They certainly were scary. I think I told you that my oldest grandson Bud is stationed at Little Rock. He had a tornado take out a large tree in his front yard during those storms down your way. I'm very thankful that the Lord was with him...the rest of the base didn't fair so well! Praise the Lord for His protection!!!

Well dear friend, I just wanted to stop by to say hello and see how you were doing. It has been awhile since I have stopped by for a visit due to the little blogging break that I took. I sure did enjoy my daughter and grandchildren's visit though! I hope that my note finds you and your sweet family all doing well!

Love ya,
Chari

PS...Now I'm heading off to find out how your book party with Michael turned out. Can you believe it...I only got on the computer once while my family was here visiting. I am sooo behind now!

No, Debby isn't the only one who admires your decorative flair; I do too! Thanks for sharing all your efforts, Laurie.

Hi Laurie, I worried about you all during these last storms. I hope everything your way is ok. We're still dealing with Insurance people over the roof damage here. Thankfully, no flooding to contend with. Thanks for swinging by I always love when you do.

Now my mantle is easy. Same all the time, gkids pics, except for Cmas. I am SO B boring!
