MY NEW HUTCH

I recently found a hutch at an estate sale, and although my husband has repeatedly told me that our home cannot possibly hold another piece of furniture, I couldn’t pass up a bargain like this!
hutch from bottom Although it needs some work, I only paid $6.00 for it (well, it WAS the last day of a three-day sale, and those sellers were trying to get rid of everything.)

In spite of my husband’s fears, I really didn’t have a hard time finding a place to put it in our home.  I am able to enjoy seeing it while I’m blogging, because it is right next to my laptop.

And now, just a little rambling (those who know me will not be surprised):
I love to watch the birds when they are all heading for their nests in the trees at bedtime, and
bird mos  I love to see the sun’s rays streaming through the clouds, and
sun rays
I love corny, old, rhyming poetry.

I’m linking this post to Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life.Table_Top_Tuesday[3][1]
I’m running behind in my blog visiting, because I’ve been out of town most of the weekend.  One of our granddaughters fell from her horse Friday, and was sent to a hospital an hour away from our home because of concerns that she had a ruptured spleen.  Thankfully, her blood clotted by itself, and surgery was not required. She came home today, and I’m trying to catch up on blog visits, because I know I’ve missed some wonderful posts.
Thank you so much for visiting me.  I feel so fortunate to have such kind visitors.  laurie

Laurie, I am so glad to hear that your grand-daughter is doing ok- my that was quite a scare!!

I love you little cupboard. Miniature things are always so very sweet. I have a thing for tiny chests with drawers!

Your hubby sounds like mine with "no more space" - I think it is so funny how I can find just a little more space for this or that!!

There's a bit of the "imp" in you, isn't there?? I was actually a bit disappointed that it wasn't a full size hutch, because I thought it was lovely! Tricky, tricky!

Glad your grand daughter is ok.

Laurie,
What a darling hutch! I love it. Have always had a thing for miniatures too. You had me going though, as I thought it was life size!
Glad your granddaughter is ok and didn't require surgery. We have had our share of horse accidents here. My daughter broke her back from a horse fall 3 years ago. Spinal fusion, and she is ok. Thank God!

Dearest, beautiful Laurie,

I'm so glad to hear your granddaughter is alright. She is very lucky indeed. I'm sure you had a direct link to God on that day and asked him for help. Who could resist helping you.

I can't believe you only paid $6.00for the little cabinet, well done.... it's fabulous.

xxxx sending lots of hugs from down under.

$6.00??? Aren't you sure you didn't mean to say $60.00?? Get outta town! What a buy Laurie!! I love it. So glad GD is okay. I hate scary things like that to happen. The last time something happened to my Grand-daughter my son was home alone with her and called me to find out what to do. Now I live 1000 miles away and had no idea what to do. I said get her to the ER now! I hated feeling helpless like that and unable to be with them. (she was fine). Hope you are having a great week! xo

I wouldn't have been able to pass up that gorgeous hutch either! And what a STEAL at $6!!!! And what a gorgeous picture of the sun shining through those clouds! :)

Laurie,
$6???? Are you kidding me? For that price, you have to take it home. That has got to be one of the best buys I have ever seen.
Congratulations!
Glad your granddaughter is recuperating well.
