Hi sweet friend...

Oooh...your tea tray is sooo beautiful, Laurie! What pretty tea cups...I love that pattern! And...I love your tea linens too! Girlfriend, are you getting those gorgeous peonies from your garden? They are sooo pretty! I was just thinking about peonies this weekend...was wondering how they would do in our climate. Your climate must certainly agree with them...they really are beautiful! Okay, I must confess...I have never heard of boring bees before...eeeks! Sounds like the makings for a spooky movie! Hehe!

So glad that you came by and took a peek at my spring mantel! I always love our visits, dear friend! Thank you so much for the well wishes and prayers! I think that I am on my way to recovery now! Hehe...in another words, guess I'm not kickin' the bucket this time!

Have a terrific Tuesday, sweet girl!

Love ya,
Chari

Oh, those boring bees! When we lived in Florida our house had some cedar trim on it. The bees had a grand picnic. There were so many holes that we had to cover the trim with vinyl siding! And, what is up with how slow they fly? I guess they are full of sawdust. I have to laugh, you brought back a funny memory.

What a beautiful tea tray! You have such pretty things and it is lovely that you use your mother's things.

Best wishes and happy week,
Natasha.

PS No critters in my tea today!

Laurie, your tea tray is lovely. Thanks for having us today!
Yikes did you have the bees in your house? Hope all is well if you did. On our daily walk this past summer we came upon a group of firemen running down the street. Seems someone was demolishing a house, discovered it was full of bees, and called the fire department. When the firemen started to help, the bees began to swarm. Frighting! We obviously didn't walk in that direction. :-)

Laurie, How lovely your tea cups and pot are! I love the tray and linens! The napkins! They are so wonderful! The peony is beautiful! Oh, how I wish I had some to grow! My Sis in Alabama just said she has 20 plus peonies growing! I know you can transfer them in the fall. I need to buy some! For I love them as just as I love your lovely teacups! Yes, we have carpenter bees too, the black head ones will sting, but the one with the yellow dot will not, my hubby catches them all the time and the children play with them, as he does too. lol I had two very stressful weeks of working on my posts. I been on the computer in the html code deleting and changing things, I deleted all my links too! Too scared to go back and edit again, a little after 8:00 I just had to post it. The font on some words makes them larger, and it leaves spaces big as a page in between sentences. Just where you do not want them. I got it smaller, but it still looks awful! Last week was even worse! I have to find out what to do! Too much stress, I was going to be in the rose garden today playing with dishes for my Tea! Instead I been on the computer! Thanks, I love my banner Steffanie made it for me, I got to get time to make it fit the whole banner size on my blog. Thank you for joining me for Tea Time Tuesday With Lady Katherine! I love this Tea!

Now I'm laughing about the crack! I was afraid you cracked that pretty china at first. Don't you love how pansies and violas jump up anywhere?

Your tray is beautiful! Love all the pillows on your sofa too. You have such a beautiful home.

Beautiful, Laurie!

We had a 60 foot covered porch at the farm. All cedar trim with cedar posts and rails all along that 60 feet. The carpenter bees loved it! Never bothered us, just went happily along drilling holes in our house.

Cindy

I wasn't too sure what you were going to refer to as the "crack." I was kinda going with you showing us a plumber's behind.!!! LOL Why is my mind always wandering to where it shouldn't? Love your tea setting and the flowers. Wish we could all join you, Laurie. hugs, Sue

Laurie, your tea tray is stunning. Love that teacup and your linens are so lovely. You always do the best scapes. Your peonies are gorgeous. Can't grow those in the desert. Sure wish we could. The bees are a mess. We had some in our house once. Totally destructive. Hope you got rid of all of yours. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

Morning Laurie, Hope it's a sweet day for you. Don't you just love the peonies? Our pink peonies and pink rhododendrons are blooming at the same time in the front and it's just beautiful. Wish it could last all summer. Wonder why the ants love peonies 'cause they don't smell sweet. We have those bees too. They leave a mess of saw dust on the front porch. My DH likes batting at them with his tennis racket. Ha! xoxo

Your tea tray is just lovely...but the peonies stole my heart...you know they are my FAVORITE! I love that you captured the little critters that found their home in the beautiful flowers!

Enjoy!

Hi Laurie! LOVE your beautiful breakfast tray!.. This reminds me, it was funny as I asked one of the kids at my church, what he gave his Mommy for Mother's Day... And he (almost 3 yrs old) said "Frosted Mini Wheats!"... Breakfast in bed was just how his Mommy ordered it! But I'll just bet she must have been looking for the least damage to be done in her kitchen!!!.. Mini Wheats are very simple for kids to make, AND for Daddies to make!! So CUTE!!... Hope you had a wonderful weekend, and that you're enjoying your week! ~tina

I love the things you have that belonged to your mother! We had those carpenter bees in a deck once. I am told they don't sting, but you would never convince me! They are evil looking!

Years ago, when I was a young housewife, we had a colony of carpenter ants in our kitchen cabinets. Not until I moved out some glasses to wash that I noticed all the "sawdust" left behind. It was a mess and needed a professional to take care of it! Your tea party is so lovely, I just want to sit down and have a cuppa!

Oh how I can relate to those bees!! We have a red cedar front porch and they have a great time every year. I sprayed everything this year and so far they have stopped coming back. Guess we should now plug the holes they left behind!!
