I have cocktail napkins with Easter eggs on them. Since I didn't want my guests to have to use that dainty little napkin, but I wanted to use the Easter egg napkins, I combined them with some pastel napkins
As usual, I don't have enough of something to make my table look uniform. I only have four blue napkins, so I had to use pink ones on the place settings at each end of the table. I am using my grandmother's pink salt cellars.
I'm using china that was my mother's. It is Royal Doulton "The Chelsea Rose". I have six place settings of the china, because my mother had 12 place settings and my sister and I divided them. Hey! all my plates on my table match (that's another normal moment in my blogging life!) (Thanks Mother).
Last week, my centerpiece featured flowers coming out of the head of a dog. This week, the same flowers are coming out of the back of a bunny. (I hope they are going to hold up until Sunday). I have no idea why flowers keep sprouting out of animals at my house! The plate under the bunny centerpiece belonged to my grandmother. I've had that handle that is on the plate for years. It clips on to the sides of a plate, and believe me, it has been on a lot of different plates at my house.
There's a bunny gymnastics meet going on under the cake stand.

Isn't this one of the coolest awards you've seen? (I know, that's only because we've never seen one that is an air conditioner-- sorry, I couldn't resist being a little lame--okay, maybe a lot lame)! When I first saw this award on someone's blog, I thought it was such a great idea -- I mean, how neat is it to think that your blog has a fan? You can just imagine my shock and my delight when I got an email that said "I'm A Fan of your Site"! I was BLOWN away! (Sorry, I'm really into being lame tonight -- I hope that doesn't make me lose my fan!)

Laurie I'm a fan of your blog, that's why you see me on your tv! Anyway, I love your table, but I want that cakestand! Yum! Please, tell me where you got it!
A well deserved award!
The setting is just lovely. Ilove the napkin holders. Kathy
Hello Dearheart...
Ohhh Girlfriend...I am one of your biggest fans! I hope that you know that!!! Congratulations on your blog fan award!
Darlin'...I love your pretty pastel Easter tablescape...it's gorgeous!!! Love that pretty tablecloth...I was looking at the pretty pattern on the sides of it...gorgeous!!! And I love your layered napkins...those little cocktail napkins with the eggs on them are darling and they look really pretty with the dinner napkins! Hmmm...trying to think (Oh NO!..hehe!) but I think this is the first time that I've seen your mama's china? Ohhh...I love the pattern on it! So pretty and with the pretty flowers in the center of the plates...so perfect for an Easter tablescape!
Okay...lets talk table centerpiece! Of course, I hope you know that you always just "blow me out of the water" with your centerpieces...they're always so original...unique...and creative! I just love what you do with them! I love the bunny gymnastics going on under the cake plate...that's just too darn cute! Precious!!! Well you've set another beautiful and memorable table, my friend! You're such a creative and talented gal!!!
Sending you and your family my very best wishes and blessing for a wonderful Easter, Sweetie!
Love ya,
Chari
Such a pretty "normal" table! I knew since you made the red plaid work for Easter, pastel colors would be no trouble! Love the napkins and napkin rings especially! :D Jewel
What a pretty table. I love how you did the napkins, so sweet. Have a great Easter weekend!
Love your table. The napkin rings are so cute!
Hi Laurie...I love this tablescape and I love the idea of mixing and matching!! Your pastel Easter table is beautiful! Clever using the cocktail napkin with the dinner napkin.
I am a writer downer...if I didn't write down things, I would never know what in the world I am supposed to be doing!! J's a writer downer too. He's the official appointment recorder at our house!
I didn't list my table at Susan's this week. I was afraid with all the running and doing again this week, I would not be able to get around to everyone. That's happened a couple times lately. So to assuage my guilt of not getting to all the tablescapes, I didn't list mine!LOL
That handle that attaches to a plate is the coolest thing. I want one. You and I have the same problem. I have just four of too many things. Hard to set a table for six when you only have four placemats, four napkins, etc. You seem to work it out nicely.
Hi Laurie, love your tablescape! You always have the cutest stuff, like the easter egg napkins and napkin rings. I looked everywhere for something cute like that but had no luck. I like that your napkins don't match, makes things more interesting! You did a wonderful job!! Kristen
Hi Laurie! Great! I love the little bunny napkin rings something I'm haveing a hard time finding (that in my price range) LOL!!! Love the cake plate too! Deb
oh how i LOVE your tablescape!! you ALWAYS do such a LOVELY job! and i ADORE your Mother's plates too!! i am DEFINITELY a fan of your site too! :) Thank you so much for sharing! Have a BEAUTIFUL day!! :)
What a really lovely table and I love the sweetness of your whole table.
Have A Great Table Scape Thursday
from Roberta Anne
What a darling table!
How do you get ceramic animals that give birth to lovely bunches of flowers? Amazing....
Love the whole setting -- and that china of your mother's ... just stunning.
Thanks for sharing!
Cass
Love the scalloped edges of the plates and using the 2 napkins is very clever. Lovely table.
Laurie, I love your Easter tablescape. Especially the little bunnies doing gymnastics under the cake plate. Adorable!!
Happy Easter.
Ginger
Laurie, your posts are always so much fun to read and always make me chuckle. I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks to myself when I blog! LOL!! Your tablescape rocks! Happy Easter my dear blog friend, and I will take that award and run with it! ~Kim
Laurie, i'm a fan! Great cakestand. I love cakestands and I am always looking for them! Isn't that funny how some things get to us? Move us? You have a wonderful blog Laurie! Have a blessed Easter!
Debbie
Laurie, I really liked the table setting once again! I am feeling a bit jealous, because I don't think I have the pizzaz or something to pull it all together.
ginny

Very pretty table, normal or not! I love the handle on the plate idea.
I love your cute tumbling bunnies!!! The cakestand is so pretty and your blue chargers are so unique! Very pretty table.
Oh, Laurie, your posts always make me laugh...I think you missed your calling as a "stand up tabletop comedien"! You are too funny!
your table is adorable and I just LOVE the acrobatic bunnies!
As for my other bunny...well...not that I think you wouldn't give him a wonderful (normal) home...but he does occupy my table in the breakfast room quite nicely! If I ever tire of him I'll keep your most generous offer in mind!
;-D
Happy Easter!
Congrats on your award...I'm a fan, too...feel my hot air?!
Laurie you always brighten my day with your sense of humour!
I think your Easter table is just beautiful in Blue. Your rose china is gorgeous and all the bunny gymnasts are quite talented. The flowers are really pretty too.
Have a wonderful and blessed Easter my friend.
~Melissa :)
PS I'm a Fan!!!
Hi Girlfriend...
Just little ol' me again! Hehe! Just wanted to come back by after reading your sooo sweet note that you left on my tablescape! Your just the best, Sweetie! Always so sweet and encouraging!!! If I ever need a boost, all I have to do is read a few of your sweet comments! Just wanted to say thank you and that I really appreciate you, Sweetie!
I didn't mention in my last comment here on this post just how much I love your new blog dress! I love your header photo...so pretty, Girlfriend!!! Oh yes, and did I mention that I'm your biggest fan? You know that I love ya...
Chari
Laurie,
You're such a hoot! I would love to be in your brain for a day and just see how you come up with all these unique tablescapes! I love that vintage looking tablecloth and the china is so pretty. I love too all the little bunnies hopping all over the place. Happy Easter Again, Cindy
Hi Laurie, What a cute Easter setting!!
I especially love the tablecloth! Congrats on your award too!
Love your blog:)
Hey Sweet Laurie, Where do I begin? First., you are the sweetest "normal" person I know in blogland., and I am a huge fan of your "writing", you know that! ;) Next, I love the fact that you do what I do., you work with what you have! So what that the two placesettings on the end have a different color napkin! lol., tell em they're special so they get the accent color! I think we can make "acceptable & fun" excuses for anything on our tablescapes... The more we do that, the more enjoyment and conversation we create with our scapes! I love that plate holder that has been in the family for years., how cool is that! And the bunny., and those posies springing up out of the backs...totally COOL to see how they don't mind at all sharing those buds! ;) I just can't imagine what animal vase you might select for Sunday., gotta chicken? ;))) You are so fun to follow and to read all your cute phrases and I always LOVE your pics! Don't underestimate yourself friend, you have great ideas to share and inspire others! Have a blessed Easter with your friends and family! ~CC Catherine
Miss Laurie...how I've missed you and your blog! I've been on a medical hiatus. Your tablescapes are always so beautifully creative. Not to mention...I'd love to own several items you've showed us.
Congratulations on the award. I too am one of your biggest fans!
Come visit sometime. I have some fun Easter surprises.
Sweet Wishes,
Sara
Those little bunnies are so cute. The napkin holders are cute too.
Happy Easter.
Joyce
Evening, Laurie! No matter how you mix it up, your table is always wonderful! I love those dishes and the different colored napkins look so sweet. Now talk about coveting...I'm spying those pink salt cellars of yours! You really don't want those any more, do you? ;)
Have a blessed Easter my friend and
Be a sweetie,
Shelia:)

Hi Laurie:
What a darling tablescape! I think my favorite thing is the little pink salt cellars - especially since they were your grandmother's! What can I say, I like the details in things!
Have a Blessed Easter!
Laurie I love your tablescape (and miss your old header)! The napkin rings and buny are so cute!
Manuela
Oh, oh, oh! The cake stand with the bunny and the flowers growing right out of his back ~ my favorite part of your post. Happy Easter. (Now, I have too many cake stands but would LOVE to find one as unique as yours.)
You are just too cute!!! I love reading your blog. You are so down to earth. I always love your tablescapes. You use things that you love and mean something to you. I like that. I love the gymnastic bunnies!!!
Laurie you're so sweet to come by and check on me! I wish I could tell you I'd been on a lovely trip but alas no...we've all been sick with a stomach flu thingy! I got sick Sunday night and today's the first day I've even come to the computer! First 3 days you couldn't get me out of bed except to run to the...well, you don't need TMI! My oldest had it..we even took him to the hospt. er because he was dehydrated, then I got it and then my husband came down with it! Looks like we're all on the mend now and hope and pray the youngest doesn't get it! Of course he's the one that the minute he got a car the only time we see him is to come home shower and sleep! So he hasn't been around enough to catch it I hope! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Easter with your family! Your table is precious! as always! Love ya! Lauralu :)
now you have 2 fans.come get one from me too.love ya...ann
Hi Lauri...I am a fan of your blog!! Happy Easter, and where oh where, did you find those cute bunny napkin rings. I have looked everywhere!
LOL at the bunny gymnastics meet going on under the plate. I literally laughed out loud at that! Happy Easter Laurie. I always love your tablescapes. I don't collect china like it seems so many people do. You would think I did because I am always looking at the stuff on my treasure hunts. Anyway we have big celebrations like you do and it's always served buffet style with paper plates. But I do take great pride in finding the prettiest paper napkins I can. :))) xo Lynn
Beautiful! Have a glorious Easter weekend!
Hello Laurie, another beautiful tablescape, I love what you did with your napkins and the centerpiece is perfect with the little bunnies at the bottom and the adorable bunny on top with the sprouting flowers, you are so funny. I love your Doulton Chelsea rose dishes too, Happy Easter, Kathy.
