I added a little Spring to our family room buffet.
Some of the birds on our mantel (shared here) flew over and landed on the buffet.
Under a bird-topped cloche, there is an egg cup we purchased on a trip to Mexico 30 years ago. I'm using it to hold a candle.
A bird on a stack of books holds books in place. The bird coasters were a long ago estate sale purchase.
On each end of the buffet, I used floral candle sticks that belonged to my mother.
I know April is gone, but this vignette has been here awhile. I call this figurine, which I've had since childhood, "April Showers".
Another childhood figurine, "May Flowers".
I know, if you have to explain it, it doesn't work. I'm afraid I have to explain a lot around our house.
Is all of your décor self-explanatory? I'm sure visitors to our home would not "get" this April showers vignette. I'm sure my family hasn't even noticed it. I have to explain it to you, so somebody will know there's a reason for my décor.
Thank you for coming to see the reason behind my décor madness.

I love your sweet little figurines. And all of the bird themed things really work together nicely!
It works! Love it.
All looks great, Laurie. I remember when you bought the buffet. It works great in your room and a perfect spot for vignettes. We like that! Happy Spring!
