I usually think of gold colors when I'm tablescaping in the fall, but this week, I set a Fall table using silver and blue.
Look! My salad plate and dinner plate are the same pattern. That usually doesn't happen at our house. I'm a mix-it-up kind of girl (I'm using the word "girl" loosely.) The pattern is Heritage by Paragon. One time, when Hobby Lobby was having a candle department sale, I bought these mirrors I used for placemats.
I used our wedding pattern, Lenox Moonspun, for water stems, and wine stems with silver zigzags.
The blue napkins were my mother's and I used simple silver napkin rings to hold them. I also used my mother's flatware.
This picture made me laugh. Those are mercury glass pumpkins. They are not jack-o-lanterns. Double glass doors from our family room open into this room, and the doors are reflected in the pumpkins, giving them eyes.
I used Peacock feathers and beaded stems to fill a vintage trophy.
See the door-eyes in that pumpkin? I also used some of my fabric pumpkins and a couple of plastic pumpkins painted silver.
Tiny plastic acorns are scattered on the mirrors.
I only included this view in the post to prove there aren't eyes in the mercury glass pumpkins!
I got this covered silver platter at an estate sale years ago.
This platter is Pontesa Ironstone, The Castillian Collection. The covered casserole is Ralph Lauren, Flynn (of course, I bought both of them at estate sales).
I'm so glad you joined me today.
I'm partying with Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch and Thoughts of Home on Thursday at Poofing the Pillows.
