FORMAL TABLE IN A MANSION

I recently took a tour of the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum in Old Louisville, Kentucky. The house is referred to as the Louisville Castle.

The huge chandelier is the star of the dining room.

The simple place settings featured beautiful gold-rimmed bone china, ornate flatware, and monogramed napkins.

I was so taken with the pretty salt cellars and

beautiful stemware.

This butter server fascinated me. Isn't it a beauty?

The turkey, flanked by candelabras, was the simple centerpiece.

I'll be sharing more images from this incredible home in the future.
Thanks for stopping in to tour the dining room with me.

Wow, this home deserves its nickname of castle. I like the exterior walls and turrets and little rooms tucked away up high.

What a lovely old lady! I see why it is referred to as a castle, it certainly has the look. The dining room is all southern, just beautiful. The china, flatware and crystal looks like what you would see in so many old southern homes and mansions. Love the monogram napkins. Look forward to more of this tour.
